McFarland Express Care - Lincoln Center Hy-Vee reviews
7Sarah and Katie were so great. I went right after work after experiencing UTI pains and they were able to work me in without an appointment so that I could start meds right away. They were very helpful, kind, and provided great care.
First—this is NOT urgent care, it’s by appointment only.
I called just to see how long of a wait—I needed to know whether I could be seen for a UTI in a reasonable time or if I should try a different urgent care. The receptionist could NOT give me ANY estimate of how many people were waiting or how long. She explained that first she needed my name, birthdate, social security number, my symptoms, medical history, and insurance. And then she needed to check with the provider. Excuse me, I just needed to know if this clinic could possibly see me in the next hour or two.
Do yourself a favor and just go to MercyOne urgent care in Ankeny—very quick, simple, didn’t run me around in circles. Worth the drive
Spent 2 hours waiting to get in only for someone who arrived 30 minutes prior w/o a appointment getting in ahead of me, just cancelled and left, service is a joke here
Extremely disappointed in the care and follow up I received here. I came in on a Friday evening with fever, sore throat and rapid heart rate. The NP just went through the motions of an “exam” and wasn’t much help other than a Covid and strep test. On Sunday afternoon I felt so miserable I had to go to another urgent care (Different organization) where I was diagnosed with a severe ear infection that ended up rupturing and I am still in pain a month later. You can’t tell me a severe ear infection developed in less than 48 hours. I tried to dispute the charges of my first visit considering now I have two urgent care charges and they are refusing, saying the care was appropriate. I am a healthcare professional and no, it was not. I chose to go to McFarland because it is closer to where I live, however i work for a different healthcare organization in the area and they will be getting my business from now on. At the time of this first urgent care visit I did not have insurance so it is out of pocket. That is all McFarland cares about is money. I’m sure they see me as an opportunity to get full price. They do not care about their patients, they care about their cash flow!
Not very urgent if their entire day at every office is full with appointments. No time for walk-ins or anything
They were a huge help to me (a very very sore throat) after a week I’d had enough and went in to see them. The two ladies I interacted with were absolutely great. Can’t think of a better experience I’ve had at the doctor. Much appreciate! Go see them.

I've had great experiences here. It's easy to make an online appointment, the staff are very friendly, and there's hardly any wait time. Both times I've visited, they have invited me to get comfortable in the exam room, and told me where the water glasses and tissues are if I should need them. It's super convenient and there's no sacrificing comfort or quality.
