Amphitheater McGrath Amphitheatre reviews
25Meh.it's usually overataffed and poorly organized. There are elderly folks running crowd control! Whether they're volunteers or employees I dont know, but its always really weird. Beverage lines are insane and for some reason they were pouring canned beer into plastic cups at last nights Primus show. Also weird. Cool spot on the downtown riverfront and some pretty good bands come through. Hopefully they can get it together.
Parking is very limited and pocket knives are not allowed. Rude security. However they bring great artists.
Really nice outdoor venue right on the river next to downtown. Small and intimate feel compared to many other amphitheaters. They had chairs put out on grass so it has a natural feel. The venue acts as a flood levy too, and I’m glad they were able to also use it as something cool.
Me and the wife won first place on the bachata, salsa, merengue dance. At the yearly latino festival that our local 308 carpenters sponsors.
My first concert at the amphitheatre!
My all time favorite band SUBLIME
Best food at concert
Jamacian Jerk Chicken
Great atmosphere
I've been here as well! Enjoyed the Bret Michael concert! I member a drink in each hand! Getting up in front of the people dancing showing folks how ta get rocking
I didnt actually come here for a concert morw like we put on a glow stick show for our friend in the linn county jail to cheer hin up at lights out 1030 it was one of the best times i have had in a long time
Having never been there for a concert I wasn't sure what to expect. They did a great job with the seats, there were plenty of places to buy drinks, workers were everywhere if you needed anything, it was great. As well, Peter Frampton sounded fantastic!
Chairs were furnished for most sections. We had took lawn chairs in case. Food was ok. Lots of drinks and pot a potties.
Paid extra to be in the front row and all I could see were the security staff. At one point there were three in my line of suite blocking the performers. They were clueless that they were blocking our view.
Nice setting.best views are center and higher up the hill so you can enjoy the Riverview in the background that's missed from a lower seat. Cement benches divided by fairly wide grassy stretches so you can spread a blanket or sit comfortably as well. (A stadium seat would make it more comfortable though.) On a beautiful day or night, it's a great place to take in a concert! Lots of extra grassy places to cluster with friends or throw down a blanket. Very nice!
I loved being at the McGrath Amphtheater this evening. It was very well organized and Weird Al Yankovic was awesome. The weather also helped since it was a beautiful evening
Asian fest features a variety of Flair, Fusion and Flavor. I loved the Food vendors serving Asian Cuisine from different parts of the world. I enjoyed the different flavors of Asian foods and the cultural performances performed. Thank you for sharing your culture with the world.
Went to the Amphitheater for an outdoor "Weird Al Strings Attached Tour" concert. The seating is great, with 3 terraced levels for chair seating, and large grassy areas around that for blanket seating. Food/drinks are not allowed in, but plenty of concessions (get them early to avoid long, time-consuming lines), plenty of porta-potties. There are areas on the streets for parking nearby, also a couple paid parking lots (definitely the way to go - especially if handicapped parking needed) and a parking ramp a few short blocks distance of walking. The Ampitheater seats a total of about 4600. I'd definitely go there again.
It's a good place for smallish events, but there really isnt too much room to have a lot of vendors if you're doing somthing like that
Went to praise on the river on Sunday. The venue is pretty nice with lots of space. The event seemed not that well organized, we planned to see River of Life band at 5 PM but left before they played since it was already after 5.
The bands were great and the venue is nice but when you have a rude staff and 45 minute beer lines it makes it less enjoyable of a concert.
Awesome venue. Will definitely be back! Just hope they figure out a more streamlined drink situation
Went for Uptown Friday night and saw a very fun band, The Mix Tape. Plenty of room for dancing and really liked the comfortable seating. I Had a really tasty Blackberry/Rosemary Spritzer drink and my cousin liked the wine selection. I do think $5.00 pop is a bit much, and they need to do some bug spraying.or more bug spraying.we had to move a few times because the biting gnats were pretty bad in the grassy areas.
This is a fantastic addition to CR. This was the 3rd time I've been here. I did experience the chaos of how long it takes to get a drink if they are busy. Try to buy more tokens in the beginning (they are good for all venues) so you dont have to go back if it is busy and get two drinks at a time so you can enjoy the show.
