Menards, Marshalltown IA

They took a long time to find my order (metal roofing and when I got ut to job site it was bent. Could not tell because there were extra small pieces covering the bends?

I am glad that there's a big box hardware store in town, but this had to be the worst managed retail store I have ever seen. Stocking is terrible (regardless of pandemic things). If you need to find something, even if it's a special order item you're coming to pick up, you have to find the one person in the store who knows where it is. I have no idea why it seems they never use locations in their computer system. A simple trip routinely turns into an hour or two wild goose chase. If I wanted that, I'd play Untitled Goose Game.

I like that all Menards are laid out the same. The staff at this location has always been helpful and friendly, but also professional and knowledgeable.

Its very nice to have available help; but they don't hover over you like some stores. I have never been unable to find the help I needed at any of the Iowa Menards stores!

The Carpenters desk is to busy to help customers send you upstairs in overstock to find our own stuff then carry it back down the stairs ourselves as they stand and watch my paint changed prices three times from paintmixer to the register the only good was a young man by the name of dalton went out of his way to try to help us this is the marshaltown store. Please Ames Menards hurry up and open because I will never go back to marshaltown menards

Very helpful employees who are knowledgeable and attentive.the only problem is there seems to be too few of them! The store is massive with everything you could possibly need and more! Very impressive selection!

Normally we live this place. Today not so much. A lady had called and paid for 10 bags of pellets over the phone. We were unaware. Saw the pile and they were not marked in any way. Grabbed six bags and paid for them when the lady came in having a fit. She yelled at my 13 year old son. We got our money back but the bad taste was already in our mouths. Combination of rude lady and poor handling by staff.

Once again Menards complete let down. Once again I called they said they had the part. I drove a hour.and no surprise they don't have it. Last time I ever go there. Chance after chance

The store wasn't busy today. I was able to quickly locate the items I needed. There was a minimal wait at the checkout and I was on my way.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Many to choose from, many items that are VERY HELPFUL and amazing quality from the WORKERS!

Got what we needed, with some help. Like coming to Menards for home projects when necessary. Good job answering my questions.

Hard to find help when we finally did, the person did not know where to find it, they had to look on the computer. We finally found it ourselves.

It has everything. Home stuff. Food building furniture pet supplies paint hardware lawn and garden nursery etc.the prices are right

Went looking for a switch. Couldn't find it, asked an employee. He directed me to where it was. Found it, but wasn't sure if it'd work for what I needed. Asked another employee. He wasn't sure either, he then went to ask someone else. She thought the same way I did, but suggested to make sure I should contact the implement dealer to see what they could do about my problem. You won't get that much help at Wal-Mart.

I purchased 40 trusses and then was called to say that they sold all but 26. After I had checked with them twice to make sure they had them in the bargain center. Not to happy. They could have made it right by getting me the other 14 I need. I am building a new house and garage. Probably get all my stuff I need at another place.

Wife and I went in today for Kitchen cabinets, worked with the Department Manager Vicky who did a great job despite all the change requests we made, she stayed very patient and was very informative. It's nice to see some good old customer service. Thank you Vicky

Don't shop here. Greedy and no. I repeat no help, customers are avoided like the plague. Do yourself a favor and shop locally.

We just had tornado in down town and the young man helped me get the right wood for windows and self tapping screws. Great service

The people are rude unwilling to help costomers and very I'll informed about any merchandise that Menards sells will shop at home Depot for now on
