This was the worst experience I have ever had. First off I had an appointment and waited over and hour to be seen. Then when I saw the nurse I described my symptoms and said I had white patches in my throat, which is strep throat. Then after another 20 minutes of waiting they came back with a covid test and said I requested. Nope, I didn’t request it. The lady left the room and I waited for another 20 minutes for the doctor to come in and prescribe me Amoxillian and tell me I should take a covid at home test. As soon as I took the antibiotics I instantly started feeling better. We need to stop trying to collect money for these covid tests!

I was visiting Des Moines from out-of-state when I needed to go to the Urgent Care. The check-in process was easy and there was minimal waiting time. I was promptly placed in an exam room.

The staff is professional and courteous. I was seen be Tonia Erickson, NP. She was a good listener and empathic. She was professional and efficient. She prescribed medicines and I am much improved.

I greatly recommend this Urgent Care.

Went to urgent care to have a bump looked at, doctor simply peered into my lip and stated it was a cold sore. She did not ask me any questions, i.e how long I’ve had it, if it hurt, etc. I repeatedly said it did not hurt, it kept growing bigger as a perfectly rounded ball and I did not think it was a cold sore. She stated again “I think it’s a cold sore” and put me on medication. A week later I saw my primary physician and she diagnosed it as a cyst like I had tried to tell the first doctor and I now have to get it surgically removed. I do NOT recommend this office as they do not do their due diligence in finding the correct diagnosis. I am now billed over $100 to have had a doctor that asked zero questions and didn’t even touch my lip and be misdiagnosed. They just care about getting people through the door.

I had an appointment but still had to wait forever, I was there from 11: 30 to almost 2: 30. For a simple urine test and sore throat. The doctor came in and said you have an infection we are giving you antibiotics you're good to go, didn't elaborate on what kind of infection and didn't ask about the sore throat so I asked about it and she looked confused because apparently that wasn’t passed on, she had someone swab me and then she came back said no strep you're good to go, ummm okay then what is it because I still feel horrible and have a very sore throat but she didn't care. Every other clinic I've been to would've tested for covid or tested for anything else or at least had conversations with me about how to treat it and what's going on with my body. Nope I just know I don't have strep and I have some sort of infection.thanks. The nurse who took me back was fine she was nice for the most part but I felt she was getting annoyed with me when I didn't know answers to questions, I hadn't had my meds for the day so my brain is slow in the morning. Overall just not a good visit. The front desk ladies were wonderful but that's about it. And now it’s been 5 days or so since I’ve been there and my symptoms are worse.

I'll give a summary. Took my 5yr old to urgent care with an injured arm. The waiting room had two other people in it. We weren't greated when we entered and waited for the person to get off the phone. After being seen and getting x-rays three hours had passed. We were told his arm is broke. They put a temporary cast on, gave him a sling and scheduled an appointment for Iowa Ortho.

We showed up to get a permanent cast put on.
While standing at the appointment MercyOne Urgent Care in Clive calls to inform us that the x-rays show no break, no bruising and he is good to go.

Luckily we have great insurance but not everyone does. Families can't afford to miss work, pay co-pays, and drive to unnecessary appointments 20 minutes away.

Very disappointed in my care. I get sinus infection EVERYTIME I'm in Iowa for a week or more.needed antibiotics.but doctor refused. She took a Covid test.said I tested positive.but I've had Covid before and symptoms were different. I took another Covid test a couple days later and test was negative. Called my primary care doctor where I currently live.got Z Pack.got better! Won't ever go back to this Urgent Care facility.

I went in today and the nurse that I had was unfriendly and rude. I’m not sure what her name was because she didn’t even mention her name. When she took me in to get my weight and height, my boyfriend was also being seen with me and so she didn’t talk much and it was unclear if she was talking to me or my boyfriend. She literally said one word answers to us or nothing at all. She didn’t smile and her attitude was not okay. Instead of talking, she would point to whose turn it was. I most likely won’t come back to this location because having an unfriendly and rude staff is not welcoming and very unprofessional.

I came in extremely sick and the only good thing about my experience was the front desk people who were awesome! My symptoms are a severe pain in my left side high fevers body aches chills The doctor tested me for covid and the flu and then said I just had a cold and to take over the counter stuff.she wasn't specific at all. Their thermometer was wrong and said I wasn't running a fever when I got home my fever was 103.2! I am still sick and don't know what's wrong with me luckily I am seeing my primary care doctor today.

Came in with colon issues. Was tested for a UTI. Which I knew I did not have. Was told that I need to see my regular PCP, and there was nothing else she could do.

I waited almost two hours although I made an appt and arrived 15 minutes early. The nurse checked my BP 3 times was really high (my Bp is never high even while sick) when she got the final reading, she said that’s better and you can ask the doctor it’s probably because your not feeling well. Doctor comes in looking as though she is afraid to be there with Mask and gloves on and all. Standing far from me, she looks me over then is ready to look at my eyes but asked first which eye is swollen, I corrected her and ask her what she’s talking about, she said the nurse said something about your eye “ something”? Well first off I told the nurse that I see flashing or fire flies in my right eye, but also mentioned that my eye (s) are swollen when I wake up. Doctors response was oh ok, well you can find out more with your eye doctor appt. Then I asked her appt my blood pressure because it’s never high and the nurse took it three times, her response was, I’m not worried about the numbers and you can take it when you get home.
First off, I never take my blood pressure because it’s never high and I’m not on medication for it, plus why are you assuming that I take my blood pressure on a regular? And why didn’t she just do a manual Bp check. The doctor and nurse bedside manner was not good at all for me. And I will also say that the doctor didn’t come in with a laptop, pin or paper to write anything down. I felt like I was treated like a number and let’s hurry up and get her out of here although she’s waited longer to be seen then the concern of being seen.

Shocked at how quickly I was seen given 8 people were ahead of me, this is probably the fastest place I’ve ever been treated. I know that’s probably not always the case, but I found it to be on a Saturday morning. Thanks!

Wait time was a bit long but they were very professional. The service from Heather the nurse practitioner was very thorough. I’d give her 5stars if rating was just for one person. I have pneumonia and sinus infection so hopefully the medication she prescribed is fast working.

While we were seen quickly, the radiology was closed. The next day went for an x ray and got the run around about which department would do them. It's 2 days later and still no results on the xray. Even after 3 phone calls. Definitely will not return.

You can hear staff talking about patients and making fun of them loudly to where the people in the waiting room can hear it. Doctors and nurses using foul language. This place has gone down hill. And so freaking trashy. Broken chairs, broken beds, paper over the windows. Like WHAT is going on. I say sell the place and put something else in this spot.

We’ve gone to the doctor three times for my niece who has been puking for a week now. And they literally don’t even try when you show up and tell them that. Like why would we go and waste our time at the doctors for fun? Run some blood tests. Run anything for that matter. You people just won’t do anything unless it’s for the ER because that’s what we had to do to actually bring attention to the 1 year old. Your system is garbage. Give a damn about why you started being a nurse/doctor.

I was treated by the Iowa clinic Podiatry Wound Center on Thursday for a hole in my toe. When I took the bandage off on Saturday the toe was badly swollen and bright red.

My wife scheduled online a 10: 50 appt. For me. When I arrived, the receptionist said, “You checked in online. Have a seat. They will call you in a minute. ”

There were three people waiting and they were quickly called. But then three other people came and were called back.
I am diabetic and my blood sugar was now 60. I went to another receptionist who said I was not on the list. She had me complete the registration process.

By the time I saw a tech, my blood sugar was 45. He was kind enough to get me apple juice. The doctor examined my toe. She said I needed a shot and a prescription. She said a nurse would be right in with the shot.

After seeing her next patient, she returned to see if I had the shot, I hadn’t.

After another ten minutes i stepped into the hall and inquired of a male doctor about my shot. He said he would check.

Ten minutes later a nurse came with my shot. Her comment, “I had to mix it you know. ” After the waiting period for a reaction. I left at about 1: 30.

This was not typical of my previous experiences.
