MercyOne Indianola Urgent Care reviews
13Nurse was great. Sat in the room for way more than a hour before seeing a person. Two separate tests run before seeing a doctor. It seemed very disorganized.
Quick appointment. Excellent doctor Heather. Listened to my concerns, gave me a combination of meds to start feeling better.
I was disheartened when Urgent Care attending physician refused any treatment based on that I had home-tested positive for covid. She just simply kept insisting I go to the ER. Fortunately, I chose to listen to her and headed up. 9hrs, 4 blood draws, xrays, IV fluids.antibiotic w/potassium infusion, startling news, food and gold star treatment, I was headed home. She literally saved my life. I was rapidly turning septic, had double pneumonia, UTI, vitaly low on potassium, and NO COVID. The urgent care doctor saved my life! Had she let me pressure her, as I was doing, to just hand me a bunch of pills, I'd have landed on deaths doorstep REAL FAST. Hats off to her! Thank you Mercy Indianola Urgent Care. Bless you!
I wish that the provider would have spent a more time with me. I am a kidney transplant person therefore even a hernia could be problematic for me.
Online scheduling was easy. I was surprised the urgent care was open on Labor Day. There 6 patients in front of me when I checked in. They were taken care of quickly and I was called shortly after my scheduled time.
The PA and all the staff were professional but friendly to make us feel welcome.
Not a long wait time we went 45 minutes before they closed, professional front desk gal was an absolute sweetheart. Our nurse was pretty good and took her time to explain what was needed to be done with my daughter.
I’m not much of a review leaver, but I’ve never had a bad experience at urgent care until yesterday. I did something to my collar bone so got there when they opened. Found out it’s not broken. They don’t know what happened, told me to go to my regular doctor. Sent me on my way after X-rays. Won’t call in pain meds because it’s not broken. The nurse was okay, not super kind when I was on the phone with him. Won’t be seeing the nurse practitioner again. I already called them and expressed my concerns kindly; but super annoyed that I’ll get a bill because basically I was told to see my regular doctor.they said something has to be wrong if im in that much pain. I already called, but I’m so disappointed in how this was handled.
Staff and providers are definitely well knowledgeable. Providers always take very good care of me!
Didn’t believe me when I told them I couldn’t breathe well and had to wait an hour for them to confirm that I couldn’t breathe before they gave me a nebulizer. They put the stethoscope on me, and she said I sound fine, even though I was clearly rasping and gasping for air. Then they told me after the nebulizer that I sound better and that if it gets worse, I should go to the hospital. The lab called and they told me everything came back normal, so no help there. And no one mentioned that a side effect to albuterol is acid reflux so I had to learn that the hard way. I get everyone is trying their best but maybe don’t dismiss a patient when they tell you they can’t breathe.
I found the clinic to be very caring and helpful. The PA, Heather Jeffers’s, that saw me was excellent, answered every question so I left feeling good about my reaction to the bee sting as it was so swollen and hot. Might check in to see if she takes patients. It was a great experience.
Caleb Pruisman my grandson went to a walk-in at urgent care, and they got him right in and diagnosed his illness immediately and called in his prescription promptly.
Nurse practitioner Shelli Grapp was an exceptional listener and did a great job in my care! I will ask for her in the future.
Urgent care clinics are now a joke! Since they are out sourced. Go to family doctor or the ER
