Tuned up my wife’s inherited sewing machine that was her grandmothers. I also had some questions they answered since I hadn’t used a sewing machine sine home ec class in the late 70’s.

These are the 2 dumbest women I have ever dealt with, they kept telling me that my my sewing machine was 40 years old and I had just bought it 1 month ago at Jo Ann's brand new. Went to Fabric's and Fun in Altoona and got everything I needed.

Metro Sew & Vac did a wonderful job checking and cleaning my sewing machine for its annual service. They did a thorough job with a quick turnaround time for a reasonable price, all while taking precautions during the covid pandemic. They also gave great advice on upgrading to a new machine. I will definitely be using Metro Sew & Vac again. Thanks!

Knowledgeable staff and great service.
This is not the place for cheap machines that break right away. This is quality stuff.

I broke the thing that holds the foot on my machine, and thankfully these guys were opened on a Saturday.
They found the piece in their back stock and LITERALLY just saved my life basically!
Excellent place, highly recommend.

Gotta say.this was the most bizarre and hostile experience I have had with a repair shop. Not only were they unable to repair my sewing machine, but they told me that they never wanted to see it again. The first time, when I spoke to a technician on the phone, I assumed that he was just having a bad day. The second time, a few days later, when I spoke to a different person at the shop to pick up the machine, she was even worse. I was pleasant and thankful for their efforts both times, so, as I said, bizarre.
