Mi Ranchito Mexican Restaurant reviews
19They treat you just like family, chips are amazing and low sodium I could eat a whole bucket of them! Food options is very open!
Food is superb! In my opinion the best Mexican style food I've ever had. After being seated, drinks ordered and chips on the table is fresh and warm. The salsa is really good and fresh. It's mild but upon request can get spicy salsa. For an upcharge you can get cheese dip which is amazing! Then the food itself is just awesome! The staff are all excellent and super nice. The restaurant is really nice. I only gave the 4 because I think the lighting is too dark. It's not bad but I prefer more lighting while I eat.
Food, flavor and presentation not what it used to be, disappointed. The service is very good.
The Food was good. Had 2 Margarita while I was there the first one seemed about 90% mix and the second one was about 90% tequila. The waiter seemed a little hurried but it was a busy night. All in all it's a nice place. I'll return and give it another shot some night when they're not so busy.
The venue was overall clean, the staff friendly. The food was too salty, even corn tortillas felt that way. Had a Mexican style steak with onions rice and beans. Prices somewhat steep as well.
Ray was our awesome waiter, the food was good even my 8 year old was full and loved it and the pricing was good especially for the yummy food!
Always bussin. Never had a bad experience here definitely a great spot for some great food
Average service, below average food. Not my favorite. The taco salad was soggy but the tacos were ok. Burritos good. Bland salsa. Fried Ice cream was soggy.
Always love going here. The food is always awesome and consistent! The waiters know what they are doing!
I was craving Mexican and this hit the spot. Not super authentic but it was hot and fresh. I ordered and had my food in the to go container within 3 minutes. I even got free chips and salsa to take. The salsa is very fresh and will be a nice snack in the hotel later. I do wish they had thier menu online and I could of ordered that way vs having to go into the restaurant but that's not really a complaint. Better than fast food and about the same price anyway.
All in all, this is just your average Mexican Restaurant. The waiter seated 5 of us to a table with 4 chairs. He did not bring us another chair but luckily the female waitress came through in a pinch and brought us one a few short minutes of standing later. I ordered an Ice Water without the Yung Walrus and it came with a sliced lemon on the rim of the cup! The lemon accented the water in such a way it made me want to spring a leak! The salsa was pretty "Milar" Bland. But the soft shell tacos slapped pretty hard though!
I’m from Texas, Houston to be specific.
This is the most authentic restaurant you can come by up here in Iowa. I would recommend it 100 times! Coming from a Mexican American.
The food wasn't fantastic, but for a small restaurant in a dying mall, it was good enough. The employees were friendly and quick.
Just your average small town Mexican restaurant, we walked in with a group of 5, and we were seated at a table with only 4 chairs, after another employee stepped up to the plate and got us a chair, we were finally able to sit down and get ready to get our Mexican on. The chips and salsa weren’t the best, the salsa had no kick whatsoever, which left me extremely disappointed, and almost had a little too much of a tomato taste too it, the lemons on the water added a nice touch, though it was hard to focus on that with the ambulance outside the restaurant, which was giving me an uneasy feeling not going to lie. I ordered the California burrito with grilled shrimp, and the overall taste was not too bad, however the rice was only on one side of the burrito, which definitely made it so every bite was not the same. When paying for food, the line was all over the place. A guy who I presumed work their with a “king” hat on and gold chain on was right there and did not step up to the plate. After another guy in a striped shirt finally did, we were able to pay and leave.
First of all, I only eat at MiRan once a year and it's for my birthday. Well, this birthday dinner was ruined! Refried beans were EXTREMELY runny, enchilada was small and fell apart easily, tamale seemed to have been sitting in sauce all day, chili relleno was soggy and the meat seemed old, did I mention the DISGUSTING refried beans? What a waste of a birthday dinner!
On our way home we found this place, one of the best Mexican restaurants ever, I highly recommend.
Stopped in for the first time with my daughter and my Son, service was fantastic and food too
I called them a hour before they closed and asked if they could take 30 people and they didn't even think twice even stayed open late for us the food was great staff was awesome
We stop here every time we go through Oskaloosa, the food is excellent, and service good too.
