Terrible customer service. Not once have I been able to purchase my desired wig. Racist sellers and the owner would not speak with me; didn't care about me.

This place obviously isn't looking to move product. I was in there earlier today and wanted to buy a wig that was on display because I loved the color combination but the employee wouldn't sell it to me because it was not the last wig in that style but they had the wig in stock in a different color that I did not want. I wanted the one that was on display.

The place had a lot of selection that surprised me. The workers were very nice and courteous whenever I had a question. The prices for what I was trying to buy were reasonable. I'd recommend this place to anyone in the Des Moines area trying to buy their beauty supplies!

First I would like to say is this store is amazing! The girls were happy to help, educate, and pick the perfect wig for me. I am going through a hair grow out and a faux hawk in awkward stage is just that, awkward. I came to Mid k just to see what they had and the selection was amazing. Rows of synthetic, blend, and human hair wigs to choose from. I went with the outre perfect hairline cheyenne, but I want to say is these girls were the best. They listened to my concerns, the reason I wanted a wig and then helped me find some selections I would like. They actually listened to my needs, concerns, and crazy questions I had. Thank you mid k for all your help! I will be back!

Worse customer service I have ever experienced. This is why people shop on Amazon. It was a complete circus. So where do I start. The crackheads, the owner, the unprofessional employees. Two people were wanting to talk to management concerning a horrible employee ge had and he called us unprofessional for his employee talking down, berating and belittling both of us. The store just needs to be shut down. It's a three ring circus for sure. I wish there were a negative 57 rating. Close it down. Complete and utter trash.

Wish I could give this place zero stars they treat everybody like they’re thieves they won’t take returns on items they sell even if you have the receipt even if you have the card he bought it on they are very rude to the customers I’ll suggest shopping at another place like vanity at leaf they do exchanges. I’ve spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars at this place and they treated me like a thief when I had something to return it wasn’t working I don’t appreciate it and I will never shop there again and I will tell everyone I know not to shop there

It seems like a place but the customer service is the worse, no greeting, no asking if you need help and when you ask one of the lazy people that you need there’s no motivation to help but they do help with an attitude. Never again

This best well stock stocked beauty supply store in town. They have things reasonably priced and have more African American products to select from locally. They require masks to ship in their store but I don't mind they have such huge selection from hair products to skin care. If your a woman that likes to color her hair they have HUGE selection plus all the hair protection products to maintain your hair. They even have wigs and nail salon stuff. They have stuff for kids women and men. You just need to visit sometime.

So I go in there 8/26/21 with $100.00 couldn’t break it. Trying to purchase $39.50 worth of stuff. I just brought hair then left. I called and said I would be back can u please hold the remaining stuff I didn’t purchase with my card.
I get off work I go in to see if they have my stuff.their words “sorry not everyone comes back so we put it away”. I am not everyone I am on a time crutch if I knew they did that I wouldn’t of got on the bus to just go there. I would have taken the a different bus too. It’s out of my way as well. So unprofessional and rude the owner said he would do it but lied! Vanity is closer to my home so next time I will go there or just order from Amazon. Where my stuff can be held! Thank You for being a Liar and Assuming I am like everyone else!

I'd stopped coming to this store after I witnessed a young lady physically assault a worker because of something that happened on Facebook (I promise I can't make this up). The manager has always been kind to me as I travel from out of town so make large purchases when I come.

The customer service is beyond poor however. The young lady we had today stayed on her phone the entire time I tried asking for assistance! When I inquired about an item she said anything with a yellow tag is not in stock. That's awkward to display something you know you don't have. She later said im sure I don't have the one you were looking at but I'll double check. She came out with 6 wigs and I chose a color. We found out at checkout that it wasn't the style I'd inquired about.

When her colleague told her she brought up the wrong style she became very combative. Even went as far to say she was kind enough to bring 6 wigs out for me. Excuse me. I thought she was on the clock to assist me as a customer. She continued yelling at me and I walked until I saw the manager.

I refused to purchase the items I had minus the one item my mom asked for as a gift. I pay money for good service not to feel harassed. The manager said he'd talk to this young lady. I do pray so. Acting like that with customers will cause a business multiple sales. Hope that phone call she was on was worth losing my $300 for the day.

One day while shopping for beauty products, a patron had come into the store unaware of the continued mask mandate. She proceeded to shop until an employee asked her to grab a mask that they had on standby, which btw on the box which housed these masks, it states that “not for medical use”, sighs, I digress. Anywho, she proceeded to make a point regarding the lifting of the mandate and an asian employee/owner lashes out and told her to get the f word out of his store if she didn’t want to wear a mask and to shut the f word up. I was so appalled and offended that I politely put the items back in their places and I left. Although he was not speaking to me, as a customer I felt wronged just by what he said to her. I spend my fiat in places that treat me and any other person with respect. Definitely lost a customer

Wide variety of selections for wigs, weave and hair care products. Since this is a national chain, it provides stronger buying power than other local stores carrying similar items. Their Wig selection is crowded and not all styles displayed are available for purchase. Service can be rough and unprofessional often, but there are a few staff members who provide good service.

I was worried after reading the reviews about poor customer service but I'm glad we went. They had a great selection and though some of the units were sold out/not available in certain colors, the staff was very helpful! They even would go in the back to try and find close alternatives to one's that weren't available. We spent a good hour in the store and never felt disrespected, or followed around.they didn't hover but were very available when we had questions or wanted to check the availability of a unit. There was a storm that rolled through and they let us hang out inside until it passed. We don't live in the area but if we're ever here again, we'll be back! Highly recommend!
