Midwest Construction & Supply reviews
17Installation of our new bathroom window was done quickly and professionally by the Midwest Construction crew.
The installation was done despite the bitter cold that they had to endure. As they were working they ask if we knew that they had to cut the siding and put white trim up. We did and it looks great. After it was installed, they cleaned up even with a shop vacuum.
Very professional, easy to work with and very clean. They made sure everything was perfect before they left. Financing was extremely easy and very stress free.
Great experience all the way around!
From the ordering to the install everything was very easy and the end result was awesome!
Midwest construction team is amazing and did a great job and very efficient! Loved working with Levi and team!
Wonderful windows and the guys putting them in were respectful and cleaned up after themselves. Very Happy
Always a great company with professional installers. Just installed our new Bay window which looks great. Our whole house is now complete with all Midwest Construction windows.
Have had great service with both our door and windows. Guys were great.
Very friendly and effective. Have and will definitely refer people to you.
We had Midwest Construction roof and side our 1900 Victorian that we are restoring. They advertised that they do historical restorations so we figured they’d be our best option. In the beginning, things started out great and we received our bids from the salesman Alex. He had come to our place twice, had been shown the state of the siding and shingles (and had been shown the original wood shakes underneath several layers of shingles twice) and took detailed pictures of the house. When it was time to begin the roof, the materials were delivered and there were only 13 sheets of OSB. We immediately called and told Alex that that wouldn’t be nearly enough to sheet the roof once the shakes and shingles had been torn off. He claimed that in order to complete the roof at that point, they’d have to charge an additional $9,000! If you choose to do business with this outfit, please consider the fact that they are NOT thorough even when told about things multiple times and will not provide an accurate quote. When the crew came to work on the roof, they required a JLG lift in order to access the turret on the house and they were very inexperienced in operating it. Instead of avoiding the sidewalks or laying plywood over them, they jockeyed around on it and shattered it. We pointed this out to Alex and he assured us this would be fixed as it was their error and was now a liability for us. After this, we asked Alex when the siding job would start. He continued to ignore us and give us the runaround so we decided to call the receptionist and were directed to Zane, the head of the siding department (and part owner). At first, he seemed compassionate and understood why we were upset considering we had waited around 6 months before we even knew when the siding job would start and weren’t receiving any responses from the salesman. Within a few weeks, the siding job finally began. Soon after the siding was complete, we had our first heavy rain and noticed three of our windows were pouring in rain, water was pouring out of the weep holes onto our porch, and the plaster walls and carpet were completely soaked inside. We immediately called Zane (who had told us to reach out to him moving forward after the salesman incident) and he became very upset and treated us horribly. Naturally, we were upset because we had just paid $80,000 to save our old house and it was now taking in water in several places and doing damage. We told Zane that we thought one of the windows was leaking because the J channel outside the window wasn’t 45’d like all the other windows were. He acted like we were stupid and incompetent and it wasn’t his problem. I told him I regretted using Midwest as a company since they had screwed us out of $9,000 already, had damaged our sidewalk and now our house was pouring in water. This upset him and he started yelling and claimed they had “already been more than accommodating with the sidewalk” which didn’t make sense to me since it was his company’s fault it was broken in the first place! Zane had even told us at one point that we were responsible for finding our own contractor to repair the sidewalk which shouldn’t have been our problem since we hadn’t broken it. In the end, Midwest did find a local contractor and fixed the sidewalk so that issue was thankfully resolved. On the plus side, we reached out to Luke (who works in quality at Midwest) and he completely understood our concern and immediately came and fixed the J channel and now it no longer leaks. Unlike most of the others, Luke actually cares about the quality of the work and the customers and is very thorough and understanding. I wouldn’t recommend anyone use this company. The owners are rude and don’t want to take responsibility for things they’ve broken and won’t honor their original quotes. The only upsides we’ve noticed is the the roofing and siding crews were friendly and hardworking and the quality of the materials used seem to be great so far. Hopefully this company improves in the future and doesn’t put anyone else through the issues we’ve had!
I love my new sliding door. The room is the same temperature as the rest of my home even with a west windy day! That is what I wanted most. YA!
We wanted to enclose our screened in porch with windows. They were responsive and provided expected service. We enjoy the finished room.
Excellent service. They finished my roof in a day and did such a thorough job of making sure there was no leftover nails or materials in the yard. I highly recommend them for anyone with kids or pets!
I couldn’t have asked for a better experience from the beginning of this process to the end result. We love our new front door, bay window and sliding door, thank you so much!
The team that put in my windows and sliding door were very professional and polite. The did excellent work and cleaned up so well after the job even raked the yard.
Excellent service, prompt correspondence regarding questions, very easy to work with.
Only one thing I wish my screen door had a handle or something to ease with opening of screen. For individuals with mobility issues of their hands the extra tab/handle would be of benefit.
Thanks for the good experience with the window installation. The installers were professional and all of my dealings with MW were a positive experience!
I was very impressed with the customer service and communication at Midwest Construction! They replaced our siding, windows, and gutters in the quoted amount of time and were very easy to reach if I had questions. They always made sure everything was exactly how I wanted it before they left the job site. I would definitely recommend this company to others!
