Took the Pull the Trigger class and it was a very positive experience for someone not at all familiar with guns and shooting. Tyrone was a fantastic teacher.

I have absolutely nothing to say, but great things. Levi was fantastic to work with and, as a first-time gun owner, the try-before-you-buy program (you get to fire three weapons, five bullets from each, for ten dollars) was perfect and I found something I am very happy with. He took time to explain all the details, such as the differences between ammo and how to take care of my weapon. I've since purchased a membership, which allows me to use their indoor range so that I won't be freezing at an outdoor range this winter while I practice. I had been to other places around town and had less than great experiences. At Midwest Shooting, the environment was super relaxed, but they knew what they were talking about and I was able to feel comfortable enough to ask questions.

HORRIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL! I took my new browning x bolt in to have the barrel threaded. Two weeks later a new employee calls, says it's done but missing safety lever parts! He says I must have brought it in this way. I said no.its my brand new unfired rifle. He continued to argue with me and was on hold for 22 minutes! Then a co ownner came on and said he was so sorry and it was their fault cause the new employee didn't know what he was doing and they will make it right when I pick up my firearm. I was quoted 270.00 with having a machined muzzle brake. Kyle said he found a 9mm brake that don't need machined and would be a lot less. Pick it up today 5.30.18 and was 280.00! No making nothing right at all. I even said Chad said they would make it right and got no answer from them! Kyle just ignored the question when I was at the counter. I don't usually write reviews but this was horrible, unprofessional service! The worst I've seen! All I can do is warn others to beware! Go to controlled Chaos and dont believe anything Midwest tells You! If I could have given a 0 rating I would. Live and learn, and help others so they don't have the same mistake of going here! Something just isn't right at this place! You DON'T TREAT CUSTOMERS LIKE THIS! I will never return here and I'll make sure others know what kind of lieing, corrupt business this is!

Update.i got my rifle to the range and in the sunlight. My brand new browning X bolt has a gouge in the checkering and three other bad scratches in the stock! Also a bad scratch on the barrel all the way through the coating! I have pictures. I called Midwest shooting and the guy that answered acted like he didn't care and said Chad would call me back at his desecration! WTH? Then as I was talking interrupted and said have a good day and hung up on me. I NEVER got a call back! I tried calling back and now they ask who's calling.they put me on hold and won't answer! This is unbelievable how pathetic the service and work done! HORRIBLE, UNPROFESSIONAL, AND UNACCEPTABLE!

All normal behavior for people who are lead by the powers of hell. Pray for them. They won't fool the one who has the power to judge. Repent!

Levi was very knowledgeable and friendly, helpful, and personable. Especially with two people at opposite ends of the range of experience.

Recently purchased a newly available Shadow 2 made by CZ USA, that was just available from manufacturing inventory. The pistol was ordered from Midwest Shooting on Monday of this week. They called this Wednesday that had arrived. Loved the quick delivery. Have seen few reviews that were concerned about a delivery that was day more than expected, and saddened to see reviewer that did not take into consideration, the delays by manufacturers, or couriers. So to you Midwest, you delivered a great new CZ, early, but if would have taken little longer, I am not short on pistols to shoot at your range.

Best, most friendly customer service on the planet! The facility is laid out very well. The store is well stocked with firearms of every description with after-market items for every firearm imaginable and enough great inventory to shop for days. I found a rifle I had been looking for for a Long time and purchased it at a very reasonable price. Jaymus was there to make sure everything went well with my purchase. Before AND after!
Thanks Midwest and thanks Jaymus! I'll look at Midwest Shooting first before I shop anywhere else.

This was a great location to go to for our first experience at a shooting range. Levi was super helpful and took the time to walk us through all of the basics, and attentively answered all of our questions to help us get what we wanted out of the experience. We will definitely be back to practice more!

My wife and I took the class after recently purchasing a handgun. It was exactly what we needed focusing on safety, proper handling, and finally live firing of our weapon. Tyrone’s experience and knowledge really helped drive all points home (safety and the proper mindset in handling and firing our handgun). My husband and I purchased our first firearm from Adam S.at Midwest shooting. Adam was very knowledgeable, very customer service oriented, kind and patient. Everyone at Midwest shooting was friendly and we are looking forward to our upcoming class and many hours on the shooting range. So thankful this wonderful store is so close to us!

Great experience as a first time gun buyer. I was nervous that I wouldn’t be taken seriously or would feel dumb, but the person I worked with was great. I don’t remember his name unfortunately but it was a younger guy with long hair. He was very helpful and made me feel comfortable with the entire process.

I’m obviously not an expert, but from a brief Google comparison, the prices seemed fair. I didn’t look at too many things, but they seemed to have a good selection of firearms, ammo, and equipment.

I have never been to a shooting range in person but everything met my expectations. They even have two separate ranges, which was nice learning on the one that was empty at the time.

I’ll need plenty of practice so I will definitely be coming back. I will update my review if I experience anything different. I’d definitely recommend them based off my first visit!

Buyer Beware. I've been shopping there for 3 years and finally done. Was sold a so called new pistol and come to find out it was used and resold as new. Mind you it looked new. The last owner must of bought it and didn't like it is my best guess. How did I find this out? I tried to warranty it and it had already been done by a previous user. Of course they denied it even thou I brought in the proof, they didn't want to see it (Or at least he didn't). The manager was very rude and cold and I was told to leave. Not a good practice. Not naming names but I think we all know who I'm talking about. After spending over 2 grand in the last 3 years It's time to move on. If you want great service and a staff that listens to you, won't lie to make a sale and treats you with respect, go to Cedar Valley Outfitters.
In regard to your comment below about not being true, it is your right to defend your store. Others that have gave You a 1 star also have had the same problems with your staff. Mainly the manager. It was used and you can say what you need. Maybe you should not sell pistols that were still defective and claim they are brand new. Sorry for being honest but you need to train your staff in customer service instead of focusing on just the sale. Other people that gave reviews with a 1 star have had similar rudeness. Even thou some are older the issues still persist. The number you are claiming to call is not mine. Our conversation is done and let the readers make their choice. Bought my first handgun and went to this range to try it out the staff was awesome helped me out with the basics even showed me how to dismantle and clean my gun. Really great experience, great people and would highly recommend

Nice staff, great selection, and great try it before you buy program. Unfortunately they do not offer military and law enforcement discounts.

My wife and I took the Pull the Trigger class, a lot of great information. We were very comfortable and had a good time with the simulator and range.

Definitely the most lgbtq+ friendly gun shop/range in the area, amazing customer service with informative employees that are always available and willing to help. The rentals are pretty inexpensive and reliable, overall the best shooting experience I've had. I just got a membership here and I'm looking forward to popping paper again soon!

If you are thinking about going to their indoor gun range do it! The wife and I went there and they set us up with some rentals to try out. Really nice people in store helping us beginners out.

This was a one star review due to a “sassy” employee. I went back and had good interactions with everyone there, I then raised this to a three star. Then I went back and had the same good experience so I raised it to a 5 star. Keep up the good work.

My wife, daughter and I took the Pull the Trigger class yesterday afternoon with Tyrone and it was a great experience. Neither of them had shot a pistol before and are now both comfortable handling and firing them. I picked up a few pointers as well. Would definitely recommend.
