Pork tenderloin & catfish were excellent! Will definitely be back! Significant other said restrooms were clean too

The service was very good and very pleasant. The restaurant was nice, nothing fancy but no need to be. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. I know it is a well liked restaurant which is really great but I didn't really like the food. The fish seemed bland but was cooked okay, I liked the coleslaw, but I swear they just opened a can of beans and served them.

Catfish without bones was fried to fast and not done in middle.informed wait staff to let cook now everything was just not right except frog legs was ok.

It is not fancy, but it is authentic. Attracts a diverse customer base in terms of economic position, age, race, etc. Walleye and a beer for lunch works for me.

Fish was fishy tasting, I couldn't eat much of it, they didn't give me any condiments.

I really like the catfish here. This is not an upscale place, but they have good food. This is a place that locals frequent.
Have not been here for a few years. Still great fried catfish. We also this time had a chicken sandwich, which was also great. The spicy catfish bites were a special treat. Will not wait so long for the next visit.

I felt a bit pricey, skinny fish fillers, but Great service! Accepts cash only.just so you're prepared

I'm not surprised when I go to leave a review and see all the reviews for RUDE STAFF!
It's 11: 30 on a Tuesday there are only two other tables in here, truthfully no excuse to be rude to your guest.
Busy, I get it. Been at work all day? I could even understand that, but you just opened and your not busy, why treat your customers that way?
No matter how good the food is, if your staff continues to be disrespectful to your guests they WILL QUIT COMING HERE.
Maybe it dont matter to you now. But in a few years it will matter

We tried the catfish and walleye, french fries, baked beans, potatoes salad and cole slaw. We tried the fried oysters and frog legs. All delicious and good speedy service.

Well, it's absolutely cooked to perfection! Walleye, Cole slaw, baked beans. Best in town by far.

It was our first time visit. I really didn't know this place even existed. But I really enjoyed this experience, especially the fried frog leg appetizer. Must try.

The fish was over cooked and dry. This place used to be our go to for carp. Not anymore. Sadly this is our last visit there.

Great off-the-beaten-path fish place. Best Frog Legs I've ever had. Cash only. Bring a buck to staple up on the wall.

I ordered a catfish fillet sandwich, with potato wedges. It came with 2 long fillets & 2 pieces of bread. I asked the server for extra bread, at no time did she mention it would be extra charge, (like 75¢ per slice). I asked for four slices, once the bill came, I saw the charge, so I asked her, why she didn't mention it, she stated "well it's an extra" & I can't give it for free.
Now keep in mind I wasn't expecting anything for free, but I would've like to have the option to purchase extra bread.just let the customer know. I'm not a regular, so I wasn't aware.
The fish was good, it would be nice if a side salad was on the menu, but anyway, I won't return to dine inside.maybe an To Go Order!
