Diner Mrs. D's reviews
16Small out dates place to eat. Food was ok. Service was decent. Really not much to say but maybe invest a little money into the place and update it.
There is no way this diner has 4.5 stars. Looking at the reviews it seems that Mrs. D's took over the reviews for Mr. C's. Which shouldn't be allowed. If your familiar with Mr. C's just don't waste your time. We drive 25-30 minutes from Indianola for Mr. C's. I didn't realize it was under new ownership when we came this morning. Once we got there the old charm of Mr. C's was gone. They did open the building up which does look a bit bigger which now just echos. The food was horrible! We paid $39 and left majority of food all but a few bites. The biscuits and gravy tasted burnt. I informed them and ordered something different but still had to pay for food that we couldn't even eat due to the flavor. Eggs had no flavor, a very cheap egg. Cinnamon roll was dry and COVERED with butter. The frosting was about 1x1 inch area on the side of the plate. We ended up stopping at McDonalds on the way home! I'm sad to see a well known Mr. C's go.
They wanted to to sit at a filthy table. Poor service used a dirty towel to wipe table. Then left it wet again poor service. Stay away.
Good food, friendly service! The evening we were there, I had the special, which was a guinea grinder.it tasted fine, but too much like a sloppy Joe for me. The onion rings on the other hand were great.very thin and crispy! And my husband had the tenderloin, which he enjoyed. We'll be back.
This was Mr. C's the last time I was here! We both got breakfast. They were not making omelets the day we went which was disappointing but understandable. The Knoxville Nationals was giving them a ton of business! The bacon was over crisp but the eggs were good as were the potatoes. My husband got a skillet with gravy and onions and peppers. If was good too. The sausage gravy was more of a white gravy but tasty. They were attentive, fast and the pancakes smelled heavenly!
Used to be a great place for breakfast. Seems prices went up and quality went down after the restaurant changed owners. Sad. Tried breakfast 3 different times, no change. Havent been back. Such a shame.
A small town cafe with a restaurant feel. Or a small cafe with a town restaurant feel. Or maybe a restaurant town with a small cafe feel. Wherever. Good grits
The name was changed, onion rings, and French fries were ok, but the sandwiches were not. I had to call the server back for refills on the drinks.
Over priced dumpster fire of an establishment. Food was disgusting, the cleanliness of the booth and floor was equivalent to sitting in a bowl of maple syrup. Highly recommend to keep your distance.
Love the patty melts. Onion rings could use a little more seasoning in my opinion but cut perfectly and nice breading!
We stop when we come to visit. Last time our server was awful but another server was doing a great job filling in the gaps. This time we got the other server and our visit was great. We love the cheese balls here because they make them different down south. We haven’t had anything we didn’t like. I ate the Reuben this time and it was great
New owners and there awesome and everybody else is great food is really good, people will do whatever it takes to accommodate you, prices are fare, highly recommend eating there you wont be disappointed
The food didn’t have much taste it was greasy the service was ok I wouldn’t recommend this place
Delicious grilled chicken salad in breaded (taco) bowl! Friendly staff and efficient service!
I enjoyed the food more when it was Mr C's. Portions are smaller on some things now. Kind of expensive on some meals.
Waitress dressed in tight aerobic work out clothes; worried more about son present than if drinks were filled; service could be better by paying more attention to people paying wages. It was beef n noodles night as special. Special was gone but sign still posted. Got sick immediately after eating soup (that was not hot at all)
