My sister has a bag of nine house keys after 3 visits and gave up when none of them would fit. First time she took the first 3 with the receipt back because they were way off. No problem. They made the second three from the first three and they said because to big can be cut down still. Second set took them back because they fit but wouldn't turn and unlock so second set went back. Third set of three they made her pay for because she didn't have the receipt that they kept from the first time she took them back. Low and behold they didn't work and she has a bag of nine keys. Happened to me yesterday. Three keys made and you guessed it none of them worked. I took them back and gave them the receipt and told them I wanted my money back

I'm new to the area and have been here about 4 or 5 times now and would say that 75% of the employees were very nice and very helpful and the other 25% were just plain nasty to me. I'll update if this changes but it doesn't seem like it will very soon.
UPDATE: things have gotten much better since my previous review.

Love the local "chain".
You can use your rewards if you're local. Limited stock for food and flower production. But got my vacuum cleaner bags there

I would give them a 0 if I could.terrible customer service. Ordered a hard to find product online and paid for it. Wasn't able to pick up for awhile and they sold the product to someone else and did not refund my money until I came into the store to pick up my order. The items were PAID for and they sold them again before refunding my money. Unbelievable.

I stopped in for the first time. Only half of the customers there and half the employees were wearing masks. I have not had Covid and was disgusted and felt unsafe. They do not require their employees or customers to wear masks. Which probably has more to do with politics than imagined "personal health reasons". Of course its not a law. At this point its just common decency. I will take my business elsewhere.
From the cdc website:
CDC recommends wearing a cloth face covering as a measure to contain the wearer’s respiratory droplets and help protect others. Employees should not wear a cloth face covering if they have trouble breathing, cannot tolerate wearing it, or can’t remove it without help.
Cloth face coverings are not considered personal protective equipment and may not protect the wearers from exposure to the virus that causes COVID-19. However, cloth face coverings may prevent workers, including those who don’t know they have the virus, from spreading it to others.
Remind employees and clients that CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are hard to maintain, especially in areas of significant community-based transmission. Wearing a cloth face covering, however, does not replace the need to practice social distancing.

Excellent Customer Service! My parents pipes burst on a late Friday afternoon. The lady who took my father's call was so nice. True Value staff was out extremely fast. They were efficient and so nice. Highly recommend this True Value!

Super helpful staff.went in with a brief description of a few items from my husband and was lost staff absolutely had the best customer service skills!

They have just about everything you need except good customer service and awareness for the health and well being of their customers. Not one employee was wearing a mask.
