Newt's Cafe, Nichols IA

Unusual in that there is no fryer, so even the tater tots are baked. We had reuben and Mediterranean paninis. We saw a full pizza and sandwich menu, basically pick your own ingredients. Very tasty and good portions. We were there at 2 pm after lunch rush, so the friendly cook/server/owner had time to chat with us. Very pleasant, homey, clean but aging decor. Sandwiches in the 8-10$ range. Beer available but not a feature. We live 10 miles away and we will eat here again.

Absolutely an amazing little restaurant. Pies, shakes, malts oh my. The French Fries and Tater Tots are baked not fried, and they are amazing.

You definitely have to stop and try it out. You will be back again, I guarantee it!

Great food, Great service. Stuffed Bicuits & Gravy is huge and filling! The prices are perfect for small town dining. Will definitely visit again. Thank you!

We had always talked about stopping, finally did, and now we wish we had been coming here for years. If you leave here hungry, it is your own fault. Portions are enormous. They even warn you. So good. We got the stuffed B&G and the breakfast calzone.

I had past this cafe many times over the past few years and since I had been up all night after my 12 hour shift and I needed something to eat.
I had the Newt burger it was delicious but was only able to eat half of it and Dr. Pepper actually tasted like it should so many places don't. My only regret is that I left the other half of my burger at my friend's place and right now that sounds so good.

Awesome pizza, actually every time I've eaten there it's been delicious. Big portions and reasonable price's. The 2 person staff are the sweetest and do whatever they can to make your visit enjoyable.

Amazing food! We caught her between lunch & dinner so she was not busy. Came out & chatted very nice lady. Food that you think was fried was baked & amazing! We had the tenderloin & chicken bacon Parm so yummy
