We just went today for lunch and everything was delicious! Soft and chewy bread that held it's weight against saucy mushrooms. Fries were great, aioli was delicious. Everything tasted really good. We'll definitrly be back whenever we're in Iowa City. One of the best sandwich spots I've been to in my entire life - no hyperbole. Customer service was really great too.

The Homer is probably the best sandwich available in Iowa City.

Edit: Years later, I still stand by this. Nodo has amazing sandwiches, and their fries with aoli are so good. Personally, I like to hang out upstairs and enjoy the artwork while I eat.

I took my daughter her for her birthday lunch. The food was excellent. We really enjoyed the 3 bean chili. We definitely will be back.

Cozy casual restaurant, Delicious food, quick and friendly service. Puts up the art of local artists, very in touch with the community.

Honestly some of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had have been in nodo. I travel all over and always look for a spot just like this. I don’t usually have any love for ham sandwiches but the ham and mango is a work of art.

I love their food, but customer service is defined by the customer not the person running the register.
And if I give extra money for something. I want that something, without excuses.

Stopped by today and tried the Banh Mi, Thai Chicken Wrap, and some great sweet potato fries with Aioli.
Everything was amazing.
The staff was up beat, happy, and courteous.
We can't wait to try it again!

Fast delicious reasonable price with great employees. Great place to stop for fast friendly and filling sandwiches and soups and salads and such.

Can’t sing their praises enough. Food perfectly delicious every time. Always ask me “vegan, or vegetarian ok? ” when I order tofu. Appreciate that they know the difference and respect the preference. Eat here as often as you can.

They have a lot of fun, tasty sandwiches and the best sweet potato fries. Service is friendly, as well.

Nodo will always be one of my favorite places to eat. Fast, convenient, delicious, and unique. Go here if you want fast service and different options than your typical restaurant!

As I currently sit in Nodo, I am on the verge of tears. I came here for a burger. I've never gotten the burger from here before. On the menu, it claimed to include lettuce, tomato, and pickles! Wow! Exciting! I even added cheese, just to make sure I'd thoroughly enjoy myself! The burger came. It is an unseasoned beef patty, with a slice of cheese on it. I am losing my s**t. I am so upset. Perhaps this is my fault, but I have no idea where I could have gone wrong. I regret every cent I spent on this meal.

Been here 1 time, had a turkey wrap. They do it right, was delicious, not just good. I could eat the same wrap everyday for a week without getting tired of it.

I never post reviews but I was extremely impressed with the helpful service at Nodo Downtown! I was having a hard time ordering ahead on CHOMP for next day delivery for a work lunch that needed to be scheduled in advance for a lunch meeting. Called to ask if there was another way they could help. Unfortunately, I didn't catch anyone's name, but the person who answered the phone was very helpful and tried on his own to work through the problem with me. When he couldn't he got his manager who said he would call CHOMP and see what was going on and call me back. Within 10 minutes I had a call back from the manager telling me thank you for bringing the problem up with him because there were some settings wrong. I was just so so impressed by the quickness and handling of the situation as well as the response back to me. THANK YOU NODO STAFF/MANAGEMENT for being stand up people. This was a small act of kindness but it really made my day.

Still relatively new to the downtown Iowa city area and I'm glad I chose to try this place out! I have a gluten allergy but thankfully all the sandwiches here can be made gluten free. I got the Nodo Pork Sandwich and it was really good. I will definately be back here

They combine ingredients artfully to produce produce the perfect combinations of textures and flavors. The service was quick and kind.
