North River Valley Park reviews
9A nice place to take the dog for a walk. Nicely groomed. The fishing used to be a lot better before the city removed the dam. Can get busy on the weekends.
Excellent place for a baby shower. It would be nice if they would put a porta toilet near Cotton wood shelter house. Other than that nice place.
Beautiful! I was a little nervous with a group of children by the water area but it was so beautiful and lots of space to run and play.
Excellent bridge. These woods and trails have a history and play their part in preserving the local mystique of the early days of Ames. Jogging or walking the trails amidst the serene woods as the trail tries to hug the river, you're guaranteed to have a peaceful time. This place remains timeless for me, and even though the name changes throughout the years, it will always be Carr Woods to me.
Fun. Friendly. Son is learning and in beginning stages of skating. All older kids are nice and accepting.
Love the multiple trail routes they have put into the park. So far its been fairly light traffic which is nice for me.
Beautiful park, excellent views. Great place to hike, walk the dog, run, and enjoy being outside.
We took a picnic and walked in the woods. It was a great get away to relax and have family time!
Great little park with a gazebo, grill, bathroom and more horseshoe pits than I've ever seen in one place.
