Norwalk Nursing & Rehab Center reviews
14 I honestly wish there were 10 stars! My first time of placing a loved one in the facility, and EVERYONE went above and beyond for her and us. The nurse crew went above and beyond when we needed anything or had questions. Rehab worked so hard with her and tried to push her to become stronger. Amanda always checking in and having such amazing things to say about my loved one. Karah, went above and beyond ALWAYS, was so caring and compassionate about all of us. Jill was so helpful in the billing are and always checking on us. Mike putting a smile on her face with his cute little puppies, and if we needed anything for her he was there in a heartbeat.
I just cannot say enough good things about this Facility! They all genuinely care about your loved one and that is what matters at the end of the day.
This place has the most amazing Staff! We thank you for taking such great care of the residents.
Nothing short of Spectacular! True professionals with HUGE loving hearts for all their residents!
I've been a nurse for several years. I've worked at several different facilities. I have never worked at a place where the residents are not only loved and cared for, but who are celebrated daily! I wish my grandma would have gotten to experience this nursing home.
As an employee I fell so appreciated. There isn't a shift that goes by that someone is thanking you for something. Showering us with gifts of appreciation. Treating us so kindly. I never leave feeling underappreciated or undervalued.
Everyone works as a team. All departments are willing to help where/when needed. The management is in the floor daily helping where they can. The residents are their/our main focus and everything we do shows it.
My Mom was here and she received phenomenal care. The staff went the extra mile, I felt they treated my Mom like family and she was very happy here. I would highly recomymend this facility.
I do not have one good thing to say about this facility it is and has been a horrible experience for me.
Dad was here for rehab after his 3 week hospital stay. He seemed to be pretty happy here and they got him home and moving again after only a few weeks. I would say the outside of the facility isn't as impressive as the nursing home staff and therapy staff inside the facility. They were all very kind and accommodating.
My mother-in-law spent two years at Norwalk Nursing and Rehab before she passed away in July. At no point was she ever disappointed in her experience. She looked forward to every activity and each meal and truly met some great friends while she lived there. After she passed away, the facility sent us a guardian angel and a card signed by all the staff and even a few residents. This meant the world to us. She was such a special woman and we are grateful for all the staff at Norwalk Nursing and Rehab who filled her final years full of love.
I would give a zero if I could. My Dad was a patient there and went days without being dressed. While minimal, the clothes we brought for him were never used and billing issues we have raised continue to be an issue that has neither been resolved nor replied to after repeated attempts. I would not recommend a loved one stay here.
I have worked with this facility and have not had one good experience. Whoever answers the phones is not very nice and answers with a rude sounding “hello? ! ” The person I know living in this facility has not been well taken care of and seems to be ignored. Skip this place and keep looking. They are extremely unorganized and unprofessional.
Worked with admin and manager to help prioritize facility improvements. They've done a great job managing COVID and they care about constant improvement to the building that houses the people that they take care of.
I love seeing the posts on Facebook of the engaging activities the staff has in place for the residents during this hard time. It shows they truly care and go above and beyond.
Staff is very attentive and compassionate. Extremely clean and welcoming environment. Very impressed with the overall care provided by Norwalk Nursing and Rehab.
Can't say enough good things about this place. The staff is always friendly, helpful and extremely professional. They have done an outstanding job managing COVID and their residents are some of the best taken care of in the state because of the commitment by the staff. I appreciate all the ways they have kept the residents engaged during the pandemic and offered creative ways for family members to interact with their loved ones safely.
