Oak Grove Beach reviews
13I loved it! Nice and peaceful. The sand had more pebbles than what I’m accustomed to, but I guess that comes with the territory with lake beaches
Beach and waterfront are very rocky, wear aqua shoes or something. Water was very pleasant and had good fun with the family. Definitely a good way to get out of the house for little to no $.
Nice beach. First time out here and we loved it. Not overly crowded. We will be back again!
Nice spot and not too crowded on July 4th! The beach sand is pebbly, but once you get in the water a little ways, it’s pretty nice sand. Definitely get waves from nearby boats.
No shower, vault toilet. Has pump for foot wash. Access via use fee, "sand" beach is rocky.
Great beach and water is clean. I bet the beach itself is very clean when there aren't frat boys chugging white claws and red bulls and leaving the cans everywhere.
We only biked to the beach but would definitely be back. Beach was spacious and huge! Limited people for a weekend. We LOVED how there was a life vest station for safety! Super cool!
Upon looking it up before visiting, it looked nice and there were pictures of dogs in the water thinking it was pet friendly, nowhere on the site does it say no pets allowed but after arriving theres a sign that says no pets. Save yourself the drive if you’re looking to go play in the water with your dog.
Nice beach spot there were a lot of people but it's a decent size place so no one was on top of each other
Nice beach area and view of lake. Hope someday they add a few park benches. It would be appreciated if they enforce the " no pets" rule they list clearly on the beach! I LOVE animals but they have their place. It annoying to want to wade in water or relax and people walk their dog without a leash or without a poop bag or let the animal run in water playing water freezby. That is not designated area for such things. The view was nice and enjoyed watching a few boats go by.
Very clean beach. I was very impressed with how well it's maintained. Plenty of parking spots. It does cost money if you're not camping. But we'll with the $5 of you have to pay! We will definitely be back
Oak Grove is a small family friendly beach down from the Cherry Glenn boat ramp. Not as crowded as Racoons River or other beaches.
Great Beach! Not too crowded. Swim area is ~6 ft at deepest - enough to do some 'laps' along the outside edge. Friendly people.
