Overlook 380 Apartments, Cedar Rapids IA

Meghan and Ashley have been a huge help with me and getting my application in to move in. Truly the biggest helps ever!

We moved there when it was still Cedarwood Hills. In a matter of 2 years living there, they went through 4 managers, the pool never worked, the laundry facilities in building 2050 never worked and was not accessible due to mold and other issues. The carpet was sinking under your feet in the hallways that were constantly covered with urine, pot smell, and blood. We had an abundance of mice that didnt pay rent, among a few other nice critters that would show up from time to time. The children were unsupervised and broke our windows twice. The sidewalks were never cleared in winter and a handicap sign was never put up that was promised, even supposedly in the office. The heater was falling apart and always made the apartment a sauna or never worked and we were freezing. The dish washer never worked. The air conditioner dripped inside and soaked our carpet. We were always promised an updated apartment but never came through. We moved out due to the mice, the pot smell, blood in the hallways, and the empty promises of the management.
The only good thing: it was big, they gave us our full deposit back, and the patio was nice.

The place is a dumpster fire. More problems there than there is safe apartments. Used to live there and there was constantly cop coming out for fight, and drugs. They say it changed but once you drive there go on a weekend and you will see.

I am moving to IA from OK and came upon these apartments. They are BEAUTIFUL inside and out! The view is incredible and the unit I will be moving into is immaculate and beautifully updated. The complex grounds are also very well kept with no holes in the road or litter anywhere. Ashley in the leasing office was very kind and knowledgeable answering all my questions during the tour and application process. I am so excited and can hardly wait to call this place home!

Don't bother me with anything about this place wasted my time got accepted from employee and sign contract paperwork and then another employee didn't accept me. Get your communication skills better among each other.

Couldn't ask for better staff and service! Clean, well kept apartments. Did I mention the fabulous girls in the leasing office? 5 stars!

I had a really good move-in experience. The management here is awesome. I haven’t run into any issues.

Very nice folks at the office. Only downside was the access issues in winter, but it is Iowa! Overall great experience!

TERRIBLEEEEEEE! Do NOT Set yourself up for failure moving here. They have torn down the ceiling in my building and it is causing me and my children health issues because of mold being exposed and we have asthma…Its been like this for 6months, but they felt painting the doors were more important. They dont take responsibility for the damage they cause to tenants property. I plan on reporting them to the state.

When was Overlook 380 constructed and opened? Under which name was the apartments before recently? What bedroom plans do the Overlook 380 have? I'd love moving in between August 2023-August 2030 when my income has improved by then.

The reviews must be a lie because when my dad had to visted someone the apartments look really nice and also i did not smell nothing there i might move there one day because there so nice looking

The new management is a blessing! My sister member is very happy after all of the years living there and she finally feels at home. The entire complex has been cleaned up. It’s a relief my sister and other people there have a management company actually taking care of the property and getting things done. I would highly recommend living here!

Honestly very pleased with all the new management and changes that have been made. Various measures have already been taken to remodel / upkeep and restore the buildings and apartments since I have been a resident!

I was given an apartment tour and I most say that it was one of the best. The young man took his time to explain everything about the apartment. I'm looking to move to be closer to my grandbaby and I'm putting this place on the top of my list

Can’t wait to move in! The new office staff is extremely helpful and always respond so quickly. They made the decision so easy with their willingness to help. Also, the upgraded units are so cool! 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend!

I’m just updating nothings changed this place is not worth $1000 rent for two bedrooms it was 700 that was reasonable for the poor quality sometimes maintenance will just let themselves into your apartment we have a light switch that doesn’t do anything we’ve checked every outlet, when we try to plug anything into one of our outlets in the kitchen it pops the breaker doesn’t matter if we have anything running pops every time

Me and my wife got a 2 bedroom apartment. Its very spacious and roomy. Definitely A nice place!
Only thing I would change is a wheelchair ramp down to our building. Other that I'd recommend to anyone.

Haven't been there in awhile. Helped a friend move in recently and management has made several improvements both to the ground and upgrades in the apartments.

I am a traveling nurse living here on a 6 month lease. I paid for the premium apartment but there are still so many things that arent " premium" in my opinion such as the bathroom. I dont want to see the low grade apartments, cant imagine. The price is okay I guess. They charge a monthly pet fee of $50. This is one of the only ones I found that accept pets though for short term rental. Its been ok I guess. The apartment is very large.

I applied for these apartments right after seeing them. Michelle and Heather at the office have been really helpful, professional and upfront about things. I am confident that I found my new home! Looking forward to move in on 1 OCT 21
