Jeanne was great to work with. Always very prompt in her responses and cheerful. Although I ended up finding a job on my own and not through Palmer group, I did do a couple interviews and the interview prep portion helped immensely. I was a math educator for 19 years, looking to start a 2nd career. I started applying in January in 2018 and 2019 and got 2 interviews total. Within 6 weeks of contacting Palmer, I began my new career. Without Palmer, I would still be looking. Their recruiters are GREAT people, and this appears to be the way to break into a new career. When I applied, I actually met with 3 recruiters in 3 different areas. I never would have chosen my current career path but I am loving the change so far. I began as a temp and was hired full-time. It was a such a stress relief to have Palmer helping with my resume, doing all the legwork of finding jobs, and advocating for me once I was chosen for an interview and began as a temp. Like any other job, once I got in, it was up to me to earn my way to a full-time position. But I had an absolutely WONDERFUL experience and would recommend Palmer to anyone looking for a new career path.

Sophia O'Brien helped me find the perfect job for me with great hours, great pay, and great benefits. She helped me prepare for my first day, checked in on me periodically, and even came to my work to help me prep for the interview that got me hired on by the company as opposed to staying a managed resource. Kar Calease came in to my work monthly to have meetings with me to discuss where I was at and my goals for the next month. Kara and Sophia also went above and beyond when I was having an issue to make sure that I was comfortable in my new work environment and I am very thankful for all of their help. They offer great communication and truly care about helping people find the best job for them.

Very disappointed. Applied twice for positions I was well qualified for and both times got the "we dont have anything for you right now. " Do they even read a resume?

Thanks to the Palmer group I was placed in a contract position with a large company, doing work I love. After five months I am happy to say I have become a FTE. Thank you Palmer for all you did for me. One note: I think you can do better keeping in touch with candidates that are not placed. Once I filled out the application and had a phone screen I did not hear from anyone unless I called in. Keeping candidates informed is important even if nothings changed.

LOVE the Palmer Group! We started working with them for about 1.5 years (or a little more) and couldn’t be happier with the quality of workers given to us. I have worked with Palmer Group twice in the past two times that I have wanted help finding a new job. Interviewed by a member of staff on both occasions, told to keep looking and they would call. Never heard a peep from them afterwards. I would also apply to jobs they listed online and they would never call and if I called them they said that the position had already been filled. No help whatsoever. With that being said, all the people I worked with there were friendly but not much else.

Staff does not care about you. There are much better staffing agencies in the Des Moines metro that I would recommend ahead of this group. I had the misfortune of working with Cheryl who did not listen to my career interests and offered me a job that did not work out. Now they refuse to work with me.

My recent experience with Palmer Group has exceeded all expectations. When I needed help during an unexpected job transition, I spoke with several people, agencies, and directly applied for a handful of jobs. It was Palmer that clearly was most consistent in serving and believing in me. They helped convince me to interview for an opening while simultaneously working with the employer client to give me a chance.
