Panda Express, Altoona IA

The food was gross, soggy and looked like it was sitting there for a while and the dude running lobby and cash register shook my drink to make it look full when it was just over half. Too lazy to wait for the fizz to go down apparently. This spot used to be good when that main lady worked here but not anymore. Go to the one on Mills civic parkway instead.

Never ready when they open.you open at 1030 have food ready at 1030. I have to wait 15 to 20 for to make Chinese fast food?

Don't order super greens after 8pm. The cooks are already cleaning and won't cook them. Not Diabetic friendly this time.

This is the 3rd time they have forgot to give me something rather it be the sauce that goes with my chicken or my egg rolls after waiting. When I called there was nothing they could do even though I work overnights and obviously if I had 30 extra minutes to deal with their mistakes I would have just cooked at my house.

This is my absolute FAVORITE place to go when wanting a quick and easy meal, they always have amazing customer service. And there food is awsome it has the perfect flavor, tou mah wonder why I gave it a 5 star rating but just said only this much, that is because it to good to be put in words.

Not a good experience this time! Usually the food is good, not today! The food was cold and not a good flavor#

My first experience with a different Panda Express wasn't great the food was dry and didn't taste the greatest. This Panda Express here is absolutely amazing! Me and mom love the food and staff is so pleasant, and very kind! The service was quick with how busy they were. Will definitely be back!

I don't know what it is about Panda Express's noodles, but they are always so tasty (probably MSG).

There is always a nice variety of dishes to choose from when you walk in, but try to aim for the fresh ones, because the ones that have been sitting out for a while will leave you feeling disappointed.

Speaking of disappointed: it is a little disappointing that you have to pay a premium for some of the better dishes here while other Chinese restaurants with similar serving styles don't (like Hy-Vee or places at the mall).

Good for the price, but definitely room for improvement.

Food is great 95% of the time but we usually have to wait at least 10-15 minutes for food to be made once ordered. I feel they rarely have items ready regardless of peak/slower hour.

The wait in drive thru was ridiculous. 12 minutes just to get my order taken and there was no one in front of me. Then had to pull forward and wait for my food. 28 minutes total. Probably won't be back at this location

Panda is cheap and sweetfire chicken is great. It isn't very authentic relative to any other asian establishment though

It was really busy but the line moved really fast. They were out of sweet and sour chicken that night, but I found a new favorite that staff suggested. Love this place

Employees enjoy serving customers and love their job. Great atmosphere. They work as a team. My 4 year old son spilled his food and was embarrassed it was everywhere. The employee was very nice said not to worry about it and cleaned it when we left. Super helpful!

Food is reliably tasty, service is often a little bit slow but it's usually only a few minutes' wait for food that I know will be as good as always.

I travel for a living and if there is a Panda Express close by my hotel I will always eat there at least once, I always order the same thing, a Bowl of fried rice with teriyaki chicken. I am in Ankeny Iowa right now and went to the only Panda Express in the town, the serving was very small in comparison to what I am used to, so the second time I went I asked the guy if I could have a little more rice and he told me "no" because they have standard serving sizes and wherever I had gotten it before must have been giving me way too much (25 to 30 other Panda Expresses). I left and went to the Altoona restaurant and ordered my regular order and the pictures here is what I got. I am used to the bowl being so full the lid is always about to burst open and the chicken is pressed into the rice, and on this one, when I first took it out of the bag I thought they had made a mistake and thought I had ordered just the chicken. The chicken was nowhere near the lid let alone about to burst open. This bowl with rice and chicken was barley half full. I don't know what's going on in Iowa but I will never throw my money away visiting one of your Panda Expresses again.
