Pearle Vision, Ames IA

I had a 930 appointment, I was there at 9: 15…. At 10 AM. I was still waiting for the optometrist. I ended up leaving.

Kari and the Pearle Vision Ames team have consistently provided our family (my husband, myself, and my daughter) with outstanding service for 10 years. Could not recommend a better business for eye exams, contacts, and glasses needs.

I've been coming to Dr. Haugland for years- even after I moved out of state, I always timed my exams for when I was home. No one has ever been as attentive and thorough as Dr. Haugland, especially since I have a finicky prescription. Even now I live in Des Moines and still drive up every time.
Everyone on the glasses side have also been very caring and friendly over the years. Keri was very patient with me as a teenager who couldn't figure out how to get her contacts in! They're always on top of all the samples and insurance and everything, I've never had any issues.

Went in with my wife this morning so she could get new frames and lenses, Keri was very knowledgeable and took the time with my wife to help her select ones suited to her. She cares about the customer and as a Small Business Owner that's what I love to see! Good job!

I have nothing but praise for this Pearl Vision. I came to Ames to have lunch with friends. On my drive up, I somehow lost a contact from my right eye. I’m legally blind in my left, so it was quite a stressful drive. My Sister was on the phone to help give me directions to the restaurant bc I was intentionally on back roads where traffic was minimal.as I pulled into parking at the restaurant, I looked over and saw this Pearl Vision. It was like what I call “God-things. ” And that was only the beginning bc when I entered the door, there were two very kind ladies working there. One, named Kristy, called my home eye doctor office, explained what was happening and asked them to please fax my prescription to them so they could assist me. Not only did Kristy get me my proper contact, but she wouldn’t allow me to pay for it. This entire experience was a “God-thing”, and gives my Hope in people, businesses, and human kindness. They couldn’t have been any more pleasant, courteous, or genuinely good in every way. I left walking in blessings. Thank you for being such a shining light, Kristy, and Pearl Vision for hiring such quality humans.

My 92 year-old mother was visiting from out of town and needed assistance with her glasses - that was impacting her vision and her enjoyment in visiting. The staff at Pearl Vision were fantastic - offering her immediate assistance, not hesitating to contact her optometrist to get her prescription. With an in-house lab on site, we were able to come in late afternoon and pick-up her new glasses the next morning. Absolutely a lifesaver! Staff are thorough, professional, consider each individual's needs carefully and fully. When they are assisting you. YOU are their undivided focus. Highly recommend.

It would literally be 5 stars if it wasn’t for this one staff member.she is so rude and condescending and makes it a terrible experience.

Kari is the best. She listens and helps you get what you are looking for. I wanted to change my lens shape and I only tried on 2 pairs and we both agreed immediately on the 2nd choice.

My son was having trouble with his glasses and Kari helped us. Kari told us what to do. The glasses that we were struggling with we did NOT get the at her store. She treated us so well! Kari was awesome! We appreciated her customer service!

The manager that helped me had recognized me from my previous appointment almost three months prior which was nice and surprising to me. The fact that she remembered one of her costumers from that long ago is impressive. She was also very nice and tentative to my ignorance of eye wear and insurance. She made sure to sit down with me explain everything in numbers so I could use my insurance to the best of the its ability and save the most amount of money. I would highly recommend going to Pearle Vision in Ames. They aren't out to get your money and want the best for your wallet and you.

The optometrist I go to in the in-store eye clinic is awesome; I wouldn't go to any other doctor. The two ladies on the product side are very patient and helpful and provide good advice. They also do everything they can with insurance and any possible discounts to assure you are getting the best price. The product selection they provide is all top quality eyewear.

The doctor and staff at Pearle Vision in Ames are always amazing. They're helpful, courteous, and efficient. I don't go anywhere else.

Customer service is the absolute best, always going above & beyond to get me exactly what I need/want!
