Waitress was amazing and compassionate. Wed lost my mother and were all tore up. She brought us free cookies becauae chocolate heals the heart.

Food was fine. No a/c in 95* weather. It would've been a more comfortable temp in a Porta-John, in the middle of a field. Booths are weirdly spaced, too close to other patrons. Lots of drain flies. Very few bakery items displayed.

Worst experience ever and I have been here several times over the past 20 years. They were busy so I expected to wait. I did not expect to be seated for 30 minutes with zero interaction or eye contact by wait staff. To add insult to injury, the waiter, after30 minutes mind you, went to help the people who were seated AFTER my family. Absolutely ridiculous. I did receive an insincere apology from management. Not ok

Table was sticky, Coffee pot was dirty, fork was dirty. Had trouble eating food because of cleanliness. Not to mention $47.00 for just the 2 of us. For breakfast! Not worth it!

Things have been improving here! Wait times for food have gotten shorter. Always a good wait staff (sometimes an SUPER one if she’s working!) Clean dining area.

Hella dirty and gross always. Food portions are tiny and over priced. Food is mediocre at best.

Service was terrible, didn’t give us syrup with our pancakes. Took 10 minutes for them to give us a refill after taking our cup, food was cold and didn’t taste right. My friend got sick in the parking lot. The manager didn’t seem concerned and kept making up excuses. Take your business elsewhere Marshalltown!

Ate here pretty late on a Thursday night. We were well taken care by all the friendly wait staff and food was really good. And ya can’t go wrong with a slice of pie to go!

24hrs yeah right that is a lie I called at midnight and couldn't order over the phone also tried to do so online said they were closed but its 24hrs?

We were seated right away and the waitress was polite and courteous. The food was great as well

I lived in Marshalltown, IA many years ago and Perkins was a breakfast and lunch favorite of mine back in the day. My travels recently took me back to Marshalltown so I stopped at Perkins for breakfast and I can still say it's the best breakfast place I know of. I had an omelet and pancakes and they were both fabulous. They also have incredible hash browns. I also need to mention the terrific, friendly service. I've learned not to expect it anymore and I'm thrilled when it happens.

Walked in at 6 pm and we waited over 15 minutes for an order. And we waited an hour for dried out food. This isn’t the first time we have eaten here but it is the first time we have received subpar service and food.

I ordered crispy bacon, I didn't get it and the waiter told me to have them take it off at the register. Didn't offer to fix the problem. The pie was nasty.

This place has went downnnn. The coffee tasted very off like it had cleaner in it. The waitress replaced it and still had the same issue then she said it just tastes that way b/c it’s strong (lol). My food came out wrong, not the way I ordered my eggs and my mom ended up in the bathroom for far too long after also trying to digest the “strong” coffee. The lady who rang us up at the register was angry at the world and annoyed to even be there. It took almost 17 minutes just to get seated which honestly was fine but the entire staff just walks right by without even acknowledging that you’re standing at the front just waiting to be greeted or even told that you’ll be seated soon. My fork still had stuck on food so it wasn’t cleaned properly. I’m just disgusted by all of these things combined and upset I even spent a $1 there. I’ll deal with rude staff any day as long as the food is bussin but the food in fact was not bussin lol. It was disgusting compared to the Perkins in CF & Waterloo.
