First off, it's always clean. That's always a good sign. The pizzas are good and usually seem pretty fresh unless it's a weekend and there's a big football game on or something. They're always still hot though.

The dough could use a little more spice IMO, but for some that might be too much, and I think that's a franchise standard. It's maybe not as loaded as the pizzas I had in KC, Nevada and Chicago, but the Chicken Bacon Ranch, Barbecue Chicken, and Buffalo Chicken make up for that perceived shortcoming by utilizing an abundance of flavor.

The service is typically pretty good even on slow nights. At Pizza Hut I've had to wait more than an hour on more than one occasion. Dominoes gets it to you fast, but that's because theirs was sitting in the warmer all day waiting for you. Pizza Ranch tastes like They actually made it when you called, instead of tasting like cardboard painted with marinara.

If I'm brutally honest, Papa Murphy's used to TECHNICALLY taste the best in town, but I never liked the idea of willingly paying the same price to have to cook the friggin thing myself. Seems like a big elaborately disguised "screw you" to me, but then they closed down, so maybe that was karma. Pizza Hub isn't really that great. Just sort of Plain Jane, and I dont think they even do deliveries. Casey's dough recipe is their selling point, but again.delivery? I have to drive and pick it up?
Sort of convenient if you're already out running errands, but otherwise.meh.

So, with Pizza Ranch the price is pretty fair, especially with this COVID 19 situation, because I saw on Facebook thay they have a bunch of temporary deals going on.
I think ordinarily their prices are more or less average for pizza, so it's a special thing.

They're also doing a special "No Contact Delivery" where you don't even have to physically interact with the delivery driver.
As an extreme introvert, I wish they'd always had that.lol.

Also, their fried chicken and chicken wraps are really good. I used to get them all the time for friday night. The chicken is juicier than KFC, and just as crispy.

When buffet is open it's a smart value, and certainly more so if you have a family to feed on the weekend. You get 2 types of salad with almost every kind of dressing and topping, like 5 or 6 types of pizza to choose from, with I think 3 or 4 types of dessert pizza, fried chicken, stuffing, cooked veggies mashed potatoes and 2 kinds of gravy, wedges.
And when you want a special kind of pizza they make it for you for free, give you as many slices as you want, and put the rest on the buffet. I don't know of any other restaurants that do that.

They kind of remind me of a small pizza franchise back in Texas that always we used to go to on Sundays after church when I was a teenager. It was appreciated by me because I was in the throws of hormonal growth spurts and could've eaten my way through a planet sized ham. That place was called CiCis, and I loved it, however, I think Pizza Ranch is a better version.

[Out of towner, lower midwesterner perspective]

Food was inexpensive but all you can eat. And pie, if I remember correctly.

When we arrived, there was not 1 complete pizza in the buffet. Only 1 slice of "their famous cactus bread pizza". Having visited 6 different locations, Osky is always dead last. The food we did have was good, people were nice but it was definitely cool for comfort dining in. I guess just keep working on getting better.

Called and asked for delivery. Was told 40 minutes. Made the call at 4: 57PM. 5: 47pm there was no delivery yet. Called back to let them know that I am still waiting in food. They said well the driver is out and should be there in 20 to 30 minutes. Called back and requested to speak manager. Manager got on the phone and told him that we still do not have our food. All I got is I am sorry. Asked to get our pizza for free because it was an hour in a half. I was told we are over an hour for delivery. I told them that I have been waiting, and there wasn't an hour for delivery at the time of my very first call when I ordered.
He again, sorry she should be there soon. Not going back or requesting delivery!

Great buffet with a variety of pizza options and a good salad bar selection. The fried chicken was also a bit with a couple members of our group.

The bus boy/waiters were very helpful with grabbing drink refills if they noticed anyone was low while they were clearing finished plates.

Bathrooms need cleaned more often. Everytime we have been there the food has been out awhile and hardly any. Fresh pizzas. This time there was even a lot of people there eating.

Always great food and service. They allowed our grandsons baseball team to make some money for the team with 15% of the sales going to the team. Thanks Pizza Ranch!

You can beat this if you love family-style cooking and many buffet choices for everybody, young and old! Picky eaters can even find eats to make them happy. The fried chicken keeps me coming back.

Thought we would give it a try again. It was horrible. The pizza was raw as was the chicken. I bit into a piece of chicken and I came back with bloody chicken. When we first got there the salad bar didn’t have any lettuce the dressing was out as well. It was $25.00 that was totally wasted. We have ate at the sigourney restaurant and the Ottumwa and the food was wonderful. How can oskaloosa destroy food this way. I would have given this zero stars but the soft serve ice cream was good

David was really good and respectful to all the customers

Came in with a party of 15 from out of town not realizing we only had 20 minutes left of buffet and was told they wouldn't be making anything more.
The manager came to our table as we were trying to decide on pizzas, took special orders, kept the buffet open and even scooped out ice cream for the kids when we were done. It was a great experience and the generosity was unexpected and thoroughly appreciated.

Very limited selection of cold dried up pizza to choose from. Salad bar layout requires you to put your dressing choice on the 'shredded' lettuce (shredded is terrible for salad) before any toppings, and dressing choices were very limited. Chicken was fried in old broken down shortening leading to bad discoloration and taste and raw in the center next to the bone.

We had some visitors from out of state and they had three young children. We thought this would be the best atmosphere and food selection for the kids in our group. Not only was it a great atmosphere for the kids but the service was superb & there was plenty of choices of good food!
