Pizza Ranch, Oelwein IA

They layout is so much better than those in Waverly, Independence, and Charles City. Yes, that really is important in a buffet. The food was not great. The pizza was all undercooked and/or not kept warm enough. Many people would probably not even care.

2 years later, it's 3: 45 on a Sunday, and the food is fresh. Adding a star.

It's a buffet so hard to eat your money's worth. Definitely better as pick up or delivery. Place is always clean though a tad crowded. All in all if you have the money to spend a good place to go with family.

Oelwein is open Friday afternoon it was my birthday, Independence, Iowa, is not open in the afternoon for the Buffet. We did learn you can eat off a menu, not just from the buffet.

Pizza Ranch is a wonderful place to have a birthday party. All of the staff were excited to wish my brother a Happy Birthday throughout our visit. Thank you!

I don't usually eat in so I can't say much about the atmosphere but the food is always hot, fresh, and fast. They have amazing delivery drivers!

Ya know. It's probably one of the best pizza ranches I've been to. Always stocked with fresh hot food. Best chicken I've had in a while. The only thing that would make it better is if it wasn't in olewein.

Food was good place was clean their soda machine several different ones were flat other than that we will come back

This is an especially hard working group of employees, so glad they are in my town! Food is delish!

Food was excellent, low Buffett choices were replaced quickly, all staff were inviting and professional.

This is the BEST Pizza Ranch our family has visited, and we’ve been to plenty, even in several different states. The first clue to how awesome they were was the fact that they had several fresh pizzas on the buffet line moments before it closed. I love that they kept it fresh and stocked even in anticipation of closing it down. Our family of six came in about 13 minutes after the buffet had closed. We didn’t realize it, and they never made us feel bad about it. They only mentioned it in order to tell us that it was technically closed, so if there was a pizza we wanted and didn’t see, just let them know and they would make it for us. We mentioned wanting to watch the Field of Dreams MLB baseball game on TV, and she went over and above to find it on TV for us and turn it up so we could hear. The serving team didn’t clean up the salad bar until they were sure we were done. Next, she asked if we wanted any special dessert and put it a chocolate cookie for us and told us to make sure and get some ice cream, too. My kids were so happy! The service and the clean environment, including the bathrooms, and the yummy food made this a great experience for us! Thanks, Oelwein Pizza Ranch team!

Array in large buffet: pizza salad and breakfast pizzas. Self-serve drinks. Clean store, lots of seating for large families.

Just ok.again another rude employee.the first time we ordered a pizza for there and got our drinks and table and waited. They had it boxed up for some reason and the gal just literally threw it on our table and walked right off like she didn't give a heck. It was very rude.this last time the gal that took our order (which was buffet for 2 adults and one child) acted all huffy and then gave us only 2 glasses for our drinks and when asked for another glass for our grandchild she was like uggghhh yeah I guess and handed me one. The floors have been filthy everytime we have gown. And they weren't coming by to clear plates as they should.

Love the chicken and potato wedges at this pizza ranch. I told my mother they should call it the chicken ranch instead. The pizza was ok but I didn't really care for it. The crust was nicely browned on the bottom but the top was a little greasy and there was an off flavor to it.we ate at the buffet which is a great value. Would have gave more stars but something I bit into on a breadstick chipped a tooth. I think I will stick to the chicken.
