Restaurant Potter's Mill reviews
10Inviting atmosphere in a historic gristmill. Service was excellent despite being short handed on a very busy night. The brisket dinner was very good with ample serving sizes. Definitely recommend this if in the area.
After searching online, for a special occasion celebration, we went here. They were not busy at all, but the service was very slow. Took a very long time to get our food. The food was not cheap. When it finally arrived, the food was not good. Long story short, wish we had gone elsewhere. Sadly, what a disappointment for a special occasion.
Delicious menu! Had their mac n cheese at the Mac n cheese fest, had to come try it again get the burnt ends on top! Very unique atmosphere, friendly service. Hope to be back soon!
Friendly staff, good food, nice atmosphere. We were there around 3pm so they were not busy. I had the shrimp cheese grits and they were delicious.
Definitely more than I imagined it would be. Such a nice young lady was the bar tender. Owners daughter. She was wonderful!
We were at the state park and decided to stop for lunch. It was Sunday Brunch so the menu was limited. For was southern creole and BBQ based. I had seafood pasta, very salty. Husband had BBQ sandwich. It looked good. My son's chicken was quite overdone. Wish we could have tried some options on the regular menu.
Stop in for decent food and experience the old mill. A nice drive down from Dubuque for a decent meal.
What a gem. Impeccable service with genuinely friendly staff, great drinks and atmosphere and the food, wow, the food. Our table had burnt ends, steak, blackened catfish and shrimp with grits. Every plate emptied, every bite was delicious. Don't pass on this place. Will be back.
My wife and I were own our way to see Cody Jinks in Dubuque and we made reservations for 5: 00 we got there seated ordered our drinks got an appetizer of fried pickles which they were delicious and I ordered Smoked Prime Rib with Mac & Cheese and a side salad for my two sides. My wife ordered the combo Pulled Pork Brisket and Sausage with Mac & Cheese and a side Salad. Everything was cooked to perfection. The owner stopped by our table twice to make sure we were pleased. I can’t say enough about this place. Nice light blues music playing in the background. The staff was very good and pleasant. That was our 5th time being there and have enjoyed it every time we leave there full and with a box of food for later.
Potters Mill earned a 5 star rating. The resturant/bar has a lot of charm with all the antiques and barn wood. The resturant and bathrooms were clean. The service is excellent. They were friendly and very attentive. The brisket was tender and the serving size was enough for 2 people. The owners are present and very invested to ensure your experience is pleasant. The Blues Band was excellent. We will definitely be returning.
