Stadium Principal Park reviews
16 By far and away the most boring and sterile ballpark I have been to in my life. I guess that’s the problem with being AAA. You are not a major league park so you can’t have all the fun activities and since you’re at the pinnacle of the minors you don’t want to be misconstrued with the other minors.
It’s a cute setting and pretty environment. The prices for kids food were good. Adults, not so much. The fireworks are cool but that’s the highlight.
Seriously, I was expecting more. Won’t be bringing the kids and grandkids here again. Sorry.
Well we went there for a concert and we were pretty disappointed! The stage was too far away understand if you don't want it on the field but should of been set up better and as high tech as everything is they should of had the stage on the big screen just saying.waste of money. Plus don't buy bulk popcorn it wasn't good, fresh would of been better plus the hot dogs were nasty!
Typical ballpark. OK seating. OK food. Expensive beer. But hey, where else can you find some great family-friendly entertainment like this? !?
Lots of things between innings, interactive stuff on the main concourse, and baseball to boot.
Great ballpark for baseball. Horrible venue for a concert. If you want great tickets for their concerts get general admission and stand. None, and I mean none of the seats gave a good veiw of the stage. It was always obstructed by the two scissor lifts for the spot lights and cameras. If anyone reads these reviews from Principal Park please put the video feed on the field screen or put the stage on the diamond and don't allow anyone on the field. You'd fill all the seats. Everyone around us felt like we were tricked into buying tickets when your site said no obstructed view for the tickets we bought. We were behind home plate. Great music and great musicians. Just couldn't see anything.
Ball games are always a great time at PP. The food and drink choices are awesome and the staff try to keep the non-playing times busy/interesting.
Went there twice in a week, parking wasn't that great & costs $12 but police were there directing traffic, doing an excellent job. Safe fun friendly family environment, even had fireworks!
Such a GREAT minor league ballpark! The setting and views are spectacular. Great fan base, and fun activities throughout the game. Always a fun time at Principal Park!
The food prices are so annoying but the service is excellent and there's really no substitute for going out to a baseball game!
Great minor league park! First time coming here while on vacation, but if we were local, would definitely come back. Terrible thunderstorm during the game, and play was suspended, but that really didn't change the experience (we stayed dry under the stadium).
I don't appreciate everything being cashless with no receipts. I most likely will not be back. Also, my bag is too big? !
I've watched a few Iowa Cubs games and this ball park is really good. I recommend sitting behind home plate.
We had a wonderful time at the Cub game! The park was clean. Everything was efficient. The view of the capitol was terrific. The fireworks were a blast.
The ballpark was super accommodating in letting us do my son's senior pictures here! He had a great time!
It was a good cubbies game. Plus I got a fowl ball which I wasn't expecting to get at the game
They keep it so clean! We got to enjoy a game with fireworks afterwards, and they did an amazing show. Restrooms are plentiful and spread throughout the stadium. Comfy seats that have drink holders.
There are always lots of people working to help find your seat, vendors coming around with food and drink, camera crews, the fun hotdog and t-shirt throwers, etc.
We had beautiful weather and a winning game to watch, too. Of course snacks and beer are expensive, but you should know that in advance.
For an evening out- 4 tickets- a bunch of snacks, a couple of beers = $120. Not bad considering the game lasted 3 hours and we had an awesome firework show afterwards.
