Started seeing Dr. Allen due to low back pain and pregnancy and I have been amazed by the work he has done on my areas of stress. So thankful I chose this practice and highly recommend this to anyone who needs an adjustment. The front desk staff are always kind, friendly and flexible with my schedule.

I go to the Clive location and everyone is always so kind and professional. I feel better than I have in year's. My back pain and the tingling in my extremities is almost gone.

Dr. Allen and his staff are the very best of the best! I have been treating with Dr. Allen since a car accident that happened in May of 2018. I was having low back pain and hip pain. He has been able to restore me to a place where I am even better than I was before the car accident! I have had chronic back issues going for 10 years or so, and I have seen many healthcare providers. Dr. Allen is the only one that has ever been able to give me lasting results.

The office is clean, quiet and easy to get to. I have always been able to get in promptly during days and times that fit my schedule. Dr. Allen has the most wonderful support staff and you are always greeted with smiles and kindness. On the days where I am in a hurry, I am able to get right in and out! On the days when I was having more issues (during the course of my treatment for my MVA), Dr. Allen was patient, kind, really listened and gave me the extra time I needed. Even after I was released from care for my car accident, I have continued to go twice a month, as I want to maintain all of the great work he has done!

Dr. Allen is an experienced and intuitive healer and I highly recommend his office to anyone who has been dealing with pain!

When I started going to Dr. Allen I was experiencing the worst migraine headaches imaginable and no matter what I tried they just never went away. After a month they were completely gone, and I haven't experienced one since. I went from taking advil every day to not at all. Dr. Allen is a miracle worker, Highly recommend!

I went to pure wellness while pregnant and experiencing pregnancy carpal tunnel. Their website said they treat that, so that's why I chose to try it. My first appointment was normal for a chiropractor, the front desk girls were extremely personable and friendly and the chiropractor asked me about what I was experiencing and made some adjustments and then asked me to come back the next day. The next appointment and at the 4 following appointments literally only lasted 2 minutes, I'm not exaggerating. I never once was asked how I was feeling, if the adjustments were helping, etc. I've never experienced and appointment where you aren't asked how it's working and then for him to just crack me twice and say "see you tomorrow. " It made me feel like they are just trying to see as many people as possible in as short amount of time as possible and they are definitely accomplishing that. If you don't want to be heard or spend time getting adjusted then this might be a good fit for you, but I didn't experience a personalized feel at all and am still shocked I was never asked if the adjustments were helping etc. Especially being pregnant, being asked how I was feeling and if it was working was really important to me. Also, their reminder texts and emails don't list the time of your appointment, that's just a small thing but the little things add up. I have since switched to Shaw chiropractic in Clive and have been very pleased.
UPDATE: Dr. Allen called me after I left this review and was sincerely apologetic that I didn't have the experience I had hoped for and he was open to discussing things further and doing anything necessary to make me happy. I would suggest if anyone is unhappy to say something at that moment. I didn't and wish I would have. Thank you Dr. Allen for making things right and genuinely caring about your clients.

First off, Dr. Allen, Katherine, and Alli are all amazing! I have never been to an office that I've felt more welcome. I come in, they all want to play with my baby, they ask about how he's doing; how I'm doing. Conversation there doesn't just consist of the weather, they all are genuinely interested in what I'm doing for the weekend or how I'm feeling. This office is extremely impressive (and I am truly particular when it comes to customer service).
Now, the customer service is one big reason I continued to go to Dr. Allen but I initially started coming to Pure Wellness right after I had my son in January. My mother almost pressured me into it. I have a previous lower back injury from dance many years back, and the pain would flare up about once every 1-2 months, plus, I put on quite a lot of weight during my pregnancy, which did not help the issue.
I started coming to Dr. Allen regularly to correct my problems gradually (I had been x-rayed to determine any problems). He was also able to see my son as well (which, I had no idea babies could be seen by the chiropractor). Within a couple weeks, my month old baby was already sleeping and eating better. I also noticed that I was feeling less back pain, especially when I woke up in the morning.
At a certain point, there was a time when I knew I was overdue for my lower back muscle to flare up and for me to be out of commission for a week (the pain was literally so bad that I would sometimes have to stay in bed). I kept waiting for this to happen.and nothing. I kept thinking it might really bad since it had been 3 months since it happened last at that point in time.

I have not had these muscle spasms for 7 MONTHS! I have been dealing with the same immense pain every other month since 2010, like clockwork. Doctors would just prescribe muscle relaxants that I couldn't stand, so I eventually stopped going to the doctor about it and just tried to get a jump on it by stretching everyday and doing exercises to strengthen my back and legs. It is amazing to know that I needed to see a chiropractor regularly this whole time. I've been to different chiropractors before but I was always wanting the instant gratification and I couldn't tell anything was working, so I would stop going.
I stayed because everyone was so welcoming and it felt like a safe and warm place, then I saw such a difference in my son's Colic and I am so happy that I stayed because I wouldn't not know the relief that I now know when it comes to my back. I literally can't thank Dr. Allen enough!

Dr Allen and his team have provided the highest level of care for me and my family. He takes the time to thoroughly explain his concerns and treatment goals. The team displays consistent professionalism and their smiles light up the room as soon as you walk in. They truly work to know you by first name and that is very unique in a healthcare setting. Highly recommend them to my friends, family and fellow healthcare professionals.

I can't say enough great things about this place. I feel so much better and feel truly welcomed. This is the way all offices should be run, where you feel like a person and not a number. God Bless!

I saw the reviews and i thought this mught be a good place. But this guy gave me neck pain and it was pretty bad. I didnt go back after the second appointment. Im not sure how well trained he is. It seemed like he didnt know what he was doing.

Dr Allen and his staff do an outstanding job. I’ve encountered several chiropractor practices who had no idea how insurance works and made it sound like a total hassle in an effort to get you to just pay cash. Not the case here, they know their stuff and are awesome at answering questions.

And not to be forgotten, the care is great. Dr Allen takes the necessary steps to understand your complaints and your body before making adjustments. Always feel better after I leave here.

This is a great place for chiropractic care, he listens to your problems and has answer you with an exercise or a stretch. The whole staff has a positive outlook on life.

Pure Wellness is amazing! Katherine and Dr. Allen always have great candy and healthcare recommendations. The part I love best is that it's quick. I can get it taken care of on my hour lunch break and they're waiting for me as soon as I get there. They know me by face and name and are very prompt with services and submitting claims. Highly recommended

Dr. Allen has taken excellent care of me, my family, and my friends. I refer all my doula clients to him for prenatal and postpartum care for themselves and their newborns.
