Quality Inn & Suites, Ottumwa IA

I spent the weekend of New Year's Eve at quality inn with my children for our Christmas. The room was clean. Service was good. Breakfast was good. Coffee was good. Everyone we encountered at the hotel was wonderful, courteous and more than happy to help. The hot tub was out of commission while we were there unfortunately and they teamed up with the Super 8 down the street so the guests at quality inn still had access to a hot tub and heated pool! That is something places of business are lacking anymore is working together. It was great to see it and be a part of it! It was an easy check-in and check back out. The only issue we had was them trying to charge us a $250 fee for having service animals and that was resolved. Housekeeping the next morning after my kids had gone, was happy to let me help where I could and gather up all of our garbage and gave me big black trash bags! Thank you for making this a wonderful, memorable weekend for all of us!

Wonderful place to stay.staff are extremely friendly and always helpful. Breakfast was better then most places. Just a good place to stay, and save a lot of money.

Staff was very nice, however, Check in took forever. The front desk person said their system was really slow. The hotel is old, and needs some serious TLC. Only 4 tables for the entire hotel for breakfast. The "hot" breakfast included biscuits & gravy. The gravy tasted/smelled like it was spoiled. My family did not eat the rest of the breakfast. No towels in the pool area, and when I went to the front desk to get some, I was told there was none available at the moment?

Stayed one night. This is an older QI, but was kept up. The room was clean and set up good. The staff was very accommodating. The breakfast was really good, with a good selection. The parking lot was big, with plenty of room for trucks with trailers

The staff was friendly. The rooms clean. Looks a little rougher on the outside but would definitely recommend staying here the breakfast was good

Stayed here for a week. Mostly quiet. Owner is a bit of a jerk but the rest of the staff are great.

It was dirty, you walk in and the brownish, used to be white drapes greet you. The room (bed was clean) stunk! It smelled like mildew and cigarettes. The ac unit was filthy, I think it used to be white. I tried to clean it. I'm so glad we had microban and cleaning wipes because there were so many finger prints, the bathroom was cleanish.

Came home for a funeral and went from a horrible 1 night stay at a hotel in Ankeny, Iowa to a comfortable stay in Ottumwa, Iowa where the event was taking place. Was thankful to feel like I was in a clean place I could shower and get into the bed at, cause it wasn’t the case just the day before. Anyway, great customer service, clean, and comfy! Even had some cool little nooks for photo taking.

It's old and it was very noisy. There was a barking dog down the hall and very noisy people on the floor above.

A little pricey, about $25 more than some others we have stayed at, but as always La Quinta has clean rooms and a helpful, friendly staff.

They took an extra 40.00 off my card and when I tried to call them to fix it they wouldn't answer the phone this is not right they owe me my money I think I should get my 40.00 dollars back

The hotel is quite, the rooms are very nice and clean. The entire staff is very Professional, and helpful. The staff goes above and beyond for you to make sure that your stay is A pleasant one. Also it's in A great location as far as easy access off and on the highway, and plenty of restaurants near by. I highly recommend this hotel whether it's for one night or an extended stay.

Very helpful, clean common areas, laundry room, pool and spa. Rooms could use a little help but all and all not bad for a small town.
Pro tip- pet friendly and tractor/ trailer parking

They have roaches but only reason I gave a 2 star because the guy up front was so cool n nice n helpful

Wonderful staff! Arrived in the middle of the night, and the gal at the front desk was incredibly nice and very helpful. Its a quaint hotel, and its kept nice.

Great hotel. Very clean, very kind staff and very accommodating. I will stay here again next time I have the chance.

Good place to stay clean rooms decent beds, staff was very nice amd helpful washer and dryer work well and dryer drys first time.

After i check in and go to my room the tv has no cable no towels in the bathroom and no shower curtain. The hallway is cooler than my room because the ac doesnt work

Both managers we're really great. Kat was one of the coolest funniest ever. Hotel is older but still nice.
