Quality Inn & Suites Davenport near I-80

This is a 2-star hotel but should probably be a 1.5, IMO. I really liked the quiet location, tucked away behind the interstate on a parallel street, then back towards the woods. However the security and lighting leave something to be desired. There is a hallway entrance on the west end of the building that has a card reader but the latch is totally disabled and cannot be secured. Lighting is rather dim in both the hallways and the rooms but the parking lot was adequate next to the building only. The hotel has been updated but colors and carpet seem to be set in the 1970's. The standard double room is small for two people and the only chair is the desk chair. Because of this I recommend it only for overnight stays unless you upgrade to a larger room. Beds were firm and I slept well but they may be a bit too firm for some people. DirectTV cable is provided. Water pressure is great but beware that the tub floor is very slippery when taking a shower. There is a bathroom exhaust fan - great! The HVAC unit is strong and can be set to continuous fan mode to avoid sleep interruption. The hot breakfast is meager but suits the 1.5 star rating. The management's business model to keep costs low is to require the front desk clerk to be the breakfast cook/host and anything else needed (security, linens, personal requests etc.) while you stay - a one woman show. I even saw the clerk doing laundry! The personnel are friendly, responsive, and do their jobs well. I can only hope that they are paid a premium for the demands placed upon them. The property could use some TLC maintenance, cleaning the mold off the window exterior, bug extermination, touch up painting, and exterior cleaning. Inside is kept pretty well except for bugs in the stairway windows. Overall though the stay is fine for overnight. Not sure why it has been rated as high as it is but maybe my standards are too high.

The staff is very helpful and they do whatever they can so have a very nice stay and the managers go out of their way by giving you good places to eat and thing to check out if interested

I've stayed here several times over the last 6 years. Always a great experience. Management and staff are top notch. I look forward to my next stay. 5 stars.

We went there, we checked in, but nobody Was there, we eventually got helped got to our room and our remote was not working for our TV and needed new batteries we brought it to the front desk but nobody was there it says to dial 0 if you need help we dialed 0 no one helped no one came, we dialed 0 again no one came so then we just decided okay will come back later my Grandpa got thirsty so he went to the vending machine and decided I'm gonna get some Dr Pepper and, it was broken it didn't give him his money back and it didn't give him his Dr Pepper So eventually we got their Remote in, and told them about the docter pepper the guy was really nice but the hotel was very very unprepared.

Rooms and bed were very cozy and clean. The complimentary breakfast was delicious! Would return if I'm ever out here again. Fair price also!

Very clean, which is the most important to me! Breakfast could’ve had more options, but at least they had a waffle maker. My only complaint is that the room smelled/felt very damp when we entered for the first time. We turned the AC on and over an hour or so it seemed to improve, so maybe the sheets were just a touch damp from the washer? We saw an employee doing laundry the entire time we were back and forth between our room and our car, so that’s a possibility.

This was a place we had to stay at for a tournament, but it wasnt bad and you cant beat free breakfast.

The girl from the afternoon shift was very kind and considerate of me, also the people of the place were very kind with our requests.

Coming from Pennsylvania with call Shawn says he will be waiting for us. He’s was so nice to meet and felt like we knew him all along. For the price you can’t beat the rooms the breakfast and the service. Shawn needs a raise or a promotion.

Came down from Hartford Iowa to see family Then off to Savana. This place was an amazing experience. Mike at the front desk was super nice and most helpful. Bob on the overnight was just as friendly. Tucked back off the road made for a beautiful sunrise over the trees. Breakfast was amazing as well as the lady at the front desk (sorry didn't catch your name) I will be back in the area often and will be staying nowhere else! Rooms are clean and smell great. Very Peaceful. And I feel safe leaving my motorcycle in the parking lot.

We had a long road trip and had mostly stayed at Motel 6. It was late at night and the Motel 6 near to this Quality Inn was full. Then we went to Super 8 that did not have cameras on the outside to alleviate our worries for our loaded pickup. So we ended up with Quality Inn as a last resort since we were tired. The owner played the usual "last room left" game that I've known hotels often play. That meant I paid close to $175 for the night when I think it should have been around $100 or so. Room didn't impress me to some crazy extent. It was nothing more than Motel 6 rooms that we had rented for much lesser prices. Breakfast is not much of vegetarian friendly although I have come to not expect much in this category from any hotels. Was glad that I got coffee though.

Would I stay at this location if I had a chance again and had plenty of time to research my options? Nope.

My family of 5 stayed at the Quality Inn & Suites for a baseball tournament. The staff, especially Mike and Shawn, went above and beyond to make our family (& entire team) welcome. The hotel exceeded our expectations. The rooms were clean, breakfast was ready and waiting for us, and bags of ice were prepackaged ready for coolers (& don't forget the cookies for the kids!). Would definitely recommend!

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was clean. The only thing I didn't like was the pool table was $10 per hour to play! YIKES.

Our stay was very comfortable.
We arrived a bit late in the evening with no dinner. We received excellent advice on where to find a quick meal. I left an item behind which had been turned into the desk. Two days after departing, I realized what had happened and contacted Jerrod. Shaun went to great lengths to return my item and I am so thankful.
To the staff in Davenport, I say, "Thank you so much for your honesty and follow through attitude". "Wishing you all the very best! "

This is the Best Hotel I stayed in ever. My wife and I liked it so much we stayed on our return trip. We asked and received the same room each time. The walls are solid and sound proof. Each night we stayed, the place hosted many young children for some sports playoff and it was packed. I never heard yells or the other room's television. Also, the next morning the shower was still hot and with plenty of water. I assume the other guest showered before they left, and there was plenty of hot water the whole time I used it.
The breakfast each morning was great and plentiful. I even was able to fill my coffee cup before I left and this was two hours after they closed the breakfast. I will not hesitate to stay here again the next time I travel by Davenport.

Great place to stay room were nice and clean comfortable king size bed had a great breakfast in the morning and close to restaurants, Owner was very pleasant and helpful. Would stay again if in the area

I felt like when I was picking a hotel this was 50/50. Absolutely glad I chose them. Clean and quiet. Service animal and pet friendly. Got a 2 queen bed room. Was very clean. Didn't smell. Everything worked and not broken. Access to the heated indoor pool. Was nice they had towels in there to use, and a bathroom. The pillows were phenomenal almost took them home. Had a great few days. Highly recommended. Will definitely stay again!
