Quality Inn & Suites Decorah reviews
18Great place to stay 5 min from downtown Decorah. On Hwy 9, but didn't notice noise on backside of hotel. Loved the small clean pool. Waffles, scrambled eggs, & sausage, along with usual free bkfst items. Dogs $25/ night & lots of grass to walk them. No elevator for 2nd floor & 15 steps with handrails. Liked the handrail & low step in for tub. Very comfortable beds.
Life saver the rain delayed our trip and they had a room on a Friday night
Just 2 minutes from where we was and put us up for the night
Very nice place to stay in decorah. We were there biking and the biking trail was only about two blocks away. The hotels pool was very nice. The staff was great and they're continental breakfast in the morning was wonderful. Love staying there!
High price low quality $250 for fri night lucky not much else around won't stay again stayed in nicer places for half the cost
We will definitely stay here again when we come back into the area. Great value! The hotel and room were clean. Our bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly.
It was clean and the people were very nice and helpful - but it's NOISY! The doors SLAM unless you guide it shut. If you have light sleepers this isn't for you. If you sleep hard you'll be fine!
Friendly people who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good too.
Great rooms for the price. Staff there is awesome. I travel all year. Probably the best folks I’ve ran into at a hotel. Honestly better than upscale places. Only criticism is most Quality Inns breakfasts are just average. I recommend this place for sure
Quality Inn had great customer service letting us check in early, the room was clean, the pool was warm and clean, and the continental breakfast had lots of choices. We will stay here again the next time we need to stay overnight in Decorah.
This was probably the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I found a pill and a needle on the ground. Room was full of bugs and felt dirty. We were told that we could check out at 3 or 4 pm since we arrived so late (we didn’t even ask for an extension, we just were not told what time check out was so I asked). Later I was told that I was given the wrong info, the front desk lady was very nice and apologized for the miscommunication. I wasn’t going to write a bad review but as we were leaving, an employee cleaning rooms said the f word to my family as they were leaving, in front of my 1 year old daughter.
Beds squeaked, The bases I think.
Cheaper place to sleep. Breakfast was ok. Gluten-dairy free is difficult to accommodate. Scrambled eggs tasted weird, probably powdered? On the other-hand, my Husband ate two waffles with sausages with gustocoffee was good too!
Friendly staff, clean rooms, nice pool, and very affordable! Our family really enjoyed our stay here. The woman running breakfast (Audrey) was absolutely wonderful and kept things running smoothly. Highly recommend if you’re traveling in the Decorah area!
Can’t say enough good stuff about this place! I travel a lot for work and stay here every time I’m in town! Super clean rooms, and a absolutely wonderful staff! Thanks for all your hard work!?
So much better than I had imagined. Saved quite a bit by staying here and I can't imagine I would have had a better experience at anywhere else. Not the best coffee in the world but everything else was fantastic.
Desk clerk was friendly. Room was comfortable. Breakfast lady was nice. Breakfast was sausage, eggs, waffles, and other things. Orange and apple juice and coffee were beverages; I didn't check but probably milk was available.
In the morning this (see photo) was under my door. I questioned a couple of other guests and they didn't get the same thing so I'm guessing someone was playing a little joke on me and it wasn't from the management.
Fast and friendly checking in and out, I'd prefer updated showers for someone over 6 ft and more/better breakfast options but that's at every hotel. Felt very safe in the area & neighborhood behind the hotel.
I would stay again
Seems like an older hotel. Rooms are a bit musky, or old smoke scent. The pool is a bit small. And location is about 7 to 10 minutes from the city.
Good hotel with clean rooms, pleasant service and great location. Decorah was pretty and looked great on a rainy day. The only problem was the not so good toilet sink and noisy air conditioning - although it worked great. Breakfast was very limited and could have been better. Recommended for 1/2 nights stay with family.
