I dont recomend this place. I came in with a missfire and codes on the enginge. In the end was charged 175 for a "diagnosis" and an oil change from 5-20 to 0-20 and no other help. They didn't even look under the hood or deeper into the car. They told me I needed a part based on what the codes showed and sent me out the door.

They also said they drove my car for three hours on a missfire and when we questioned that and said that shouldn't have happened they said they went on 6 to 7 rides. You shouldn't need 6 or 7 rides to know its a missfire which the code is already showing and driving it damages my engine.

They ripped me off and didn't do anything other than drive my already damaged car and change my oil. Absolute joke and took advantage of me.

AMAZING, had it towed in this morning. They got me my estimate quickly and had my power steering and brakes fixed by the end of the day. Very grateful for their work.

My parents and I have been a loyal customers for many years! They are always professional, and they will give me a call if they find anything. Because of Ron’s Auto, I’ve been able to keep my 20-year-old car in excellent condition and running beautifully since buying it all those 20 years ago. Great job!

Ron’s is amazing! My car was towed into them due to battery issues. They were able to diagnose the issue, send estimates and get the car back to me in less than 30 hours! Very grateful for their top notch customer service. They were a life saver in a pinch! Highly recommend!

One of the worst experiences ever. BEWARE they charge shop supplies on every bill ranging from $40 to $60 plus. These are not itemized because they aren't actually used for your car. Quoting him "these are supplies we use throughout the year and we charge a portion to each customer". Now if that's not robbery I don't know what is. My fix didn't require anything but some cheap gloves and maybe 2 cents of lube. They also charged $78 to remove and put back the fuel pump lock ring when the fuel tank is already out of the car! That as you can see they charged for already. I am not even sure it's even possible to go that slow to remove and put back the lock ring. 2 minutes tops if you time it out and that's going slow. $78 for that is a rip off. Then he proceeds to waste my time trying to prove me wrong on how much a lock ring with gasket costs. Well i went right to autozone and got one for $6.79 plus tax. Very petty. Will not be going back to them.

Easy early bird drop off in the evening, inspection report by text link the next morning, then proceed with service. Very convenient.

Had a major repair to the exhaust system. A local car dealer told me they could not make the repair unless they ordered all new parts at a very high cost. Ron's made the repair, in one day, at less than 25% of the dealer's estimate. Great service, Ron's!

I was on the road headed home to Oklahoma when my check engine light started flashing. I took next exit and ended up close to Ron’s. It was a Sunday and all auto shops were closed. I spent the night at hotel and showed up at Ron’s at 8. I explained my situation and they got right to work checking out my car. They brought out the broken parts and explained to me what needed to be fixed. They were able to fix it and get me back on the road by 10. Price was right and car ran great all the way home. I really appreciate you guys! Highly recommend!

The people there are so nice. Scheduling was easy, and when I realized I needed something else, they were able to accommodate me.

Brought my car in a day before they estimated they would be able to service it. By the end of that day they had diagnosed and conducted the maintenance. I was very pleased with how quick and thorough they were!

I have had my oil changed here in the past and have been relatively pleased with the service. Today was not the case today. I reached out to them 2 weeks ago to schedule an appointment and no one ever got back to me. Finally last week I called and spoke with someone and scheduled an appointment for 8am today. They sent me a confirmation yesterday which I confirmed. Today I got there before 8 and waited in my car until they open at 8. While waiting I saw several employees arrive including the office people I typically see. I went up to the door at 8am and it was locked. I waited out in the snow and cold for 10 minutes before finally deciding I don’t have time for this. I understand roads weren’t great this morning and it may have taken longer for them to get to work. But they were there…. I saw them and they saw me standing outside the locked door at 8: 10 for 8am appointment. Again, I understand 10 minutes isn’t much, but I do expect general courtesy from a local business I have been supporting. Even if they would’ve popped they’re heads out to tell me they’re running a little late. But I got nothing. My business will go elsewhere.

My car overheated while driving on the highway and blew a radiator hose. I had it towed to Ron's as they were an AAA preferred shop. They were able to look at it the next business day and easily replaced the burst hose. The staff were prompt with communication and I really enjoyed receiving updates via text message. However, I have to give them a less than perfect review as they were not able to determine the root cause of the overheating. When I picked my car up they blamed the overheating on the broken hose, even though I had explained that my car was overheating prior to the hose bursting. After that they tried to say I was probably low on coolant, however I had checked the coolant that same day and knew it was at an appropriate level. My overheating issues continued so I brought my car to another mechanic and they found the thermostat housing was cracked. They replaced the housing and thermostats and my overheating issues were resolved. I see a vast majority of the reviews here are positive, so I am sure this was a one-off and not the norm at this shop. But nonetheless I am not happy that I had to spend $670 at Ron's and then the following week have to spend $500 at another mechanic for this problem to be fixed.

We were traveling back to Minnesota along I 35 when our Check Engine light came on. We took the Ames exit and ended up at Ron's Auto Repair. We were so lucky! They checked the engine, found a simple solution and we were on our way again. They were professional and really nice. We recommend Ron's 100 percent.
