Ross' Restaurant reviews
13 We've been to Ross' 5 or 6 times since they opened in Bettendorf. Each visit is different. They have good soup. We like the soup/half-sandwich lunch. Eggs okay. Chicken sausage good. Hotcakes horrible. Eating there is Russian roulette.
*This was our last trip. Prices higher. Food mediocre, at best. Coffee weak. Booth was dirty when we arrived. About 2/3 had been wiped. The back section looked like it hadn't been cleaned today. Salt shaker stuck to table.
First timer and was greeted nicely. My server was new and didn't look put together well, but my experience was not good. She touched my food and put it on plate, floaties in my water, silverware old and then through the lid to my drink on the table with attitude. They remade my plate to go and hopefully nothing was done to it. Train your staff to use clean hygiene practices and have a positive attitude when dealing with the public.
I had Stuffed French Toast and it was awesome. Stuffed with cream cheese and strawberries. It was the best FT I've ever had!
Went for breakfast. Had good selection. Had gluten free bread options, which was surprisingly good. Couple little minor hang ups in service, but it did seem they were training a new waitress. Overall a good meal and experience.
We had been fasting for our checkups. We asked the Dr. Where they go? They said Ross' was good. So we went there.
Wasn't disappointed, are food was taste, they came to check if we needed more frequently.
It was a clean quaint place.
I had lemon blueberry pancake and crisp bacon. My husband had French toast with real maple suryp, bacon.
I got the 3am Burger, and it was good, but it was a little dry other than than everything else was great!
Took about 1 hour to get food and order was screwed up. Wasn't even that busy. Save your money and time, go somewhere else.
Our poor waitress was doing everything herself including the register and phone. No manager to be seen. My in-laws talked it up but afterwards we were all disappointed in the food quality.
Shout out to that waitress though because she held it down very well.
Service is wonderful. I unfortunately didn't like the lunch and the pop was way too watered-down.
Just left there order cheese steak sandwich and tenderloin took 2 bites out of my cheese steak and found long hair we both could not eat after that and still charged full price this was the first and last time we will go there not a good example
We were visiting the area and decided that we needed to visit the iconic Ross's for dinner. The food was great! I had a burger and it was one of the best I've had. There were only 2 people working (one cooking and one serving) so it was a bit slow. However, the guys were friendly and working hard to keep up! I would definitely recommend this place!
No selection for ZERO STAR review. In from out of town. Sat at table for over 20 minutes and no service. So we left. Don't bother stopping here. Terrible, not the Ross' I remember that used to be in downtown Bettendorf. What a shame.
Waitress was nice and it’s a pretty restaurant. Awful awful awful food. I got strawberry crepes and my boyfriend got the BBQ pulled pork burger. My crepes had half a cup of frozen low grade mushy strawberries only on the top. (Village inns strawberry crepes are 100% better) my boyfriends burger was dry and had absolutely no flavor. The best part of the meal was the fries. Ended up spending a little over $30 for the two of us. Definitely not worth it.
