Runza Restaurant, Council Bluffs IA

A classic Nebraska fast-food staple. Basically a Beirocks shaped like a sandwich instead of a roll. I tried the chees runza, meat was well flavored, overall delicious sandwich. Crinklecut fries were perfectly crispy. Only complaint is onion rings were rather short on flavor, but overall excellent fast lunch or dinner option.

Made rite sandwich on a roll. Not very much flavor to it. I wasn't impressed. Fries are crinkle cut, they didn't offer ketchup and no napkins. Needed napkin for sandwich because it did drip on me. If you want loose meat sandwich on a roll this is the place for you. Roll is the size of hot dog bun 6inches long. I spent $12 for sandwich, fries and medium soda. Was not a meal I will ever repeat.

Usually runza has good food. But this location has gotten to be awful over the years. My runza was completely falling apart and soggy. The fries weren’t even full and most of them burnt. I wouldn’t recommend going to this location at all.

Nice but tiny dated restaurant the place.is super small and dated they really could use a new building and pushed back off Broadway a bit a lot of.timea during the dinner/lunch rushes the drive thru line does out and down Broadway causing traffic issuss I do not recommend dining in here but I am very clostrophobic

Way over rated and way over priced for what it is. There are better places for burgers. As for the Runza sandwich. Check before you eat it. Your going to ask, where is the meet? Its a soggy piece of bread without much filling.

Their new popcorn chicken is the best & onion rings. But they forgot to give me the ranch for the popcorn chicken. Ok I had at home. Ranch

Have heard of them and read about them but had never actually had a Runza until today. Pretty damn good and enjoyed eating at this specific Runza Restaurant. The young lady was very polite and helpful guiding me through the options. I went with the Runza with pepper Jack cheese and it was delicious. The onion rings were a great compliment as well. Highly recommend!

We came to know this place was local to Omaha, we tried their runza it was cheesy mushroom with meat, the taste was unique and we liked it, we also had their fries and onion rings and they tasted good and fresh.

Normal experience, nothing really sets Runza apart. It's fast food. Burger was seasoned well but seemed to be a bit smaller than usually and my large shake looked like a medium at best. But still beats the competitors.

Every time I come to this particular location it's amazing. They've only forgot one item from one order after several great orders. Food is hot and fresh. Soda tastes good. All around d a good location

If you want the best prices go on Temperature Tuesdays where the price of a run za is based in the temperatures at 6am.must buy the fries/onion rings and drink. Best onion rings in town. And for the nostalgic twist this place used to be a donut shop years ago!

Good food. One really needs to try a Runza sandwich if they are here for the first time, it's what makes them a unique choice for food. Nothing else out there quite like it.

We don't eat runza that often. The three people that ate runza the last night, Are all sick today. The people who ate pizza last night, are perfectly fine. I had a $44 order it was not even correct, never did receive the milk for my child's meal,
And now people are vomiting and diarrhea. Will not be back.

It's been a good while since eating a runza. It was just as i remembered it. The fries, thick fresh and hot with a touch of cold ketchup. Yummy!

Despite of being temperature Tuesday and free runza's the last at the cash register inside was cheerful and was having fun at her job. Service was great.

Runza never disappoints! This is the only one in Council Bluffs and it's always busy! The sandwich was good and the frings were great!

I ordered a kids Runza, was told that I could not get a Large Diet!
I told them I would pay extra/order it, said I would pay separate for it, she said, "NO". Since I ordered a kids meal that is what I get. Where do they get off telling me I can't pay for a Large Diet! It is my money.

Listen, the only bad thing I can say about this place is there isn't more around here. Theres been a couple times I've had to choose another place for a quick bite because it's too busy. The line was out into Broadway, but if there was more room I'd definitely wait.

This visit did not disappoint. The fries were just what I needed after a long week. And diet pepsi is my go to soda and it was excellent! It was perfect!
