Food is always great, staff is very good at their job. We don't go as often as we should. I definitely recommend Sammy's

The food here is fabulous. Had dinner two nights in a row while staying in town. Had spaghetti and meatballs one night and the House Special pizza the next, with tiramisu for dessert. Highly recommend. If you’re in town for dinner, don’t miss this place.

This place is the real deal.authentic Italian food made by real Italians:) never had a bad experience here and the food is beyond amazing.

If you like crispy crust, not the place for you. If you like doughy pizza, you'll love it.

Fantastic Italian food! Great value and had a wonderful waitress with a very intriguing accent. The house dressing was strange but good! The bread rolls were very good! We had the basics like spaghetti meatballs, Alfredo, and a pasta sampler. So so so so good! You can tell a lot about an Italian place based on the marinara on their dishes. I'm very particular because I make my own Italian at home. We are here after the fair and I was VERY impressed. If we are in Spencer again, I WILL be back! Go here! I doubt you'll regret it.

The food was excellent! Never disappointed there. Our server however left much to be desired!

Located on Spencer Iowa's South Grand Avenue is the gem of a restaurant known as Sammy's Italian Pasta & Pizza. This eatery serves up some of the most delicious Italian cuisine around. Their menu includes; Salads, Spaghetti, Home Baked Pastas, Homemade Specialties, Chicken dishes, Veal dishes, Seafood dishes, Sandwiches, Side orders and a locals favorite, their Pizza! Plus, twice daily they make and serve, with each table, their (should be patented) dinner rolls.
Our group had their:
• Chicken Florentine - Mushroom, onions, spinach, garlic cream sauce over spaghetti. My wife absolutely loved this large and tasty meal.
• Chicken Marsala - Sauteed chicken with fresh mushroom, marsala wine sauce over spaghetti. I absolutely loved this (best ever) large and tasty meal.
• Spaghetti Meatballs - Meatballs over a portion of spaghetti and smothered with their homemade marinara sauce. Our young diner loved this dish even though it required a face washing afterward.
Their quality of superior service is slightly overshadowed by the quality of their superb dishes!

Great spot to get food, was kinda packed when we got here but was quickly seated, food was all super good!
Definitely a nice sit down spot.

We have only been there once, but not bad. Food was pretty good. But, shortly after we got there, they got slammed with customers. And with only 2 waitresses, we waited over 30 minutes to get our drinks/water after placing our order. With about 15 tables, call in orders, and a drive thru I understand why they had a hard time keeping up. I will go back, to try again to make sure this was a fluke and their service can't be normally this slow.

Small portions for the price and honestly tasted like my pasta sauce was from a jar. I don’t recommend this place at all! My friend had ordered cheesecake from here the other day and it obviously had been frozen, like for a year in the foam carton! Lol. Seriously though; but it was inedible. The texture wasn’t good. I literally poked my finger in it and it barely made an indentation. Straight to the trash and I am telling all the people I know to ever eat here.

My husband and I absolutely love Sammy's! When we have family out friends from out of town and we are looking for somewhere to go for supper we always throw Sammy's out as consistently delicious option! We have never had anything we didn't like! 10/10 would recommend.

The food is great! Lunch specials for 9.99 that include salad and homemade bread. You can not go wrong with anything on the menu. Regular meals are only a few dollars more. Order ahead, and they have a drive thru window for pick up. You must try it. It might not look like much on the outside (old Pizza Hut) but you won't be disappointed.

O my gosh this place is awesome. The food was fabulous. Be prepared to take part of your meal home. Will definitely be going back. The bread is homemade. Do I need to say more? It's the best!

Omg. Small town Italian. Tomato sauce thick, rich. Pasta done perfectly. Thus man knows how to cook. I could not put down the garlic cheese bread, intell I dug into the entre.

Excellent food and great service. Only concern is that staff were not wearing masks during this Covid 1p pandemic outbreak.

This unassuming little place has some of the best Italian food in Northwest Iowa. Stop in for a Stromboli. You won't be disappointed.

Amazingly good. I love their food that they make. They are the best place to go for any kind of Italian dinners anywhere near us. They are my favorite place to go. Really good service, wonderful music. And very tasty.

Everything has been delicious! So far, ive had the chicken alfredo and pasta sampler. The fresh baked rolls are amazing! Keep up the good work!
