7The wooded area near the visitor center is a beautiful place to hike. You can also park at the visitor center and follow the paved Neal Smith Trail to the butterfly garden. My kids enjoyed finding a geocache there. Restrooms are only available when the visitor center is open.
Biked Neal Smith trail. Stopped at visitor center before return ride to Botanical Center.

Fun place to visit. I enjoyed the interactive exhibit outside showing the differences between the wood from native Iowa trees.
