Stopped by for a beard trim so had basic expectations. The lady shaved my neck, trimmed eyebrows and put in beard foam all without asking, plus gave me a nice haircut. Very mainly and had good vibes! Plus was treated to a nice drink for free at the bar afterwards! I will be back!

Very relaxing and pleasant experience in the lounge as well as in the chair. For being decently new to having long hair and a beard fit for a Midwest winter, Alison was awesome and gave some great advice for maintaining the look I was aiming for. I even walked out the door with some of the same products she used during the haircut.

Overall great first experience, Alyson really did a great job and helped me decide on what I really wanted

Stopped in for about my third or fourth time and Scissors and Scotch always get it right! Great staff, great fades (as well as other haircuts), and it’s always nice to get a drink after at their attached bar. Will be back for sure!

I really like the feel of the place, bright clean and a bar attached! Liz has cut my hair several times and she does a great job, very close attention to details and asks along the way how I want it. I have done the 10 year: shampoo, scalp massage, steam towel and conditioner and cut. The old fashioned cocktail is a great cap to the haircut.
I would say it is a lot easier to download the app and book that way. The scheduling website is not the most intuitive I have used, no easy option I have seen to just click rebook and skip all the questions. I just want the same thing, pick a date and time- should be easier. I wish they would just build an app with all functions internal, but hey.

Great place everyone was very nice, the car is awesome. Shawn did an amazing job, he’s cut my hair for years now and with him making the move I’d say he’s the best barber in Des Moines! I would recommend the shop to any one

2. They don’t give you a bald fade when you ask for a bald fade.
3. Universal Kuts is $30 for a nice fade.
