ShinyTop Brewing, Fort Dodge IA

This is what a food & drink pub is meant to be. I had two nights to see what Fort Dodge had to offer I'm glad I gave Shiny Top a shot. I sat at the bar. This place is modern & clean with a dive bar vibe. You'll find friendly staff who enjoy helping their customers, especially the bartender, friendly customers, great local beer options, music playing at a reasonable level & a food menu with lots of options. Yeah this place has all of that. The pizza really is pretty darn good too & the ingredients go from edge to edge with no bare dough. If you need some extra sauce their homemade ranch is great. One of my favorite pizza joints yet!

Very good beer - true to profile, but still creative. Nice variety.
Food was also very good. The pizza had some thought put into it - it's not just different toppings on the same base. Lunch came out fast and hot with lots of flavor.
Hope to return soon.
Caution to the kitchen mgr: the pre-cooked chicken on Buffalo Pizza was a miss. It was chewy and too salty. Splurge on some fresh chicken breast, slice it thin, cook it fast, and maybe toss it with the sauce or a dry rub. The rest of the pizza was good. And the Jalapeno Popper pizza was well executed and tasted perfect!

Great atmosphere! The staff is really friendly. They have a wide selection of drinks on the menu and you can’t go wrong with any of the food! I suggest the Big Kahuna pizza with chicken! Yum!

The server I first spoke with was very kind and gave outstanding guidance as this was my first visit. (Did not catch her name.)

The bartender was prompt in assisting, and she too was very enjoyable and welcoming. (Also, did not catch her name.)

The pizza was indeed 10/10 and I will be returning soon. This space confirmed its high recommendation, and my compliments to the chef!

Came up for the Big Pretzel (it was really big). Also had a raspberry sour. Highly recommend! The place is nice and cozy, and our server was beyond friendly. Worth coming up to Fort Dodge for!

Alright… straight to the point. The staff was wonderful. The atmosphere was welcoming. The food was life altering… Big Kahuna pizza made me rethink every piece of pizza I’ve ever had in my life. I can’t wait to try more. Definitely a must try.

Nice variety of brews. Turning into a bar like atmosphere as they offer food and mixed drinks. Crab Rangoon pizza is lackluster. Big Kahuna is good. Buffalo chicken dip had little chicken but decent flavor. Axe and Ladder beer is my favorite.
