This place is amazing I live here and they have more then what people even need the service is beyond great and everyone here is so friendly!

Sierra Pointe has set a high bar for places to live! I’ve lived here since May 2018 and I have a real hard time imagining myself live anywhere else. Trust me - I’ve looked. But the size/layout of my apartment is perfect; the appliances and furnishing are all relatively new (the complex is ~8 years old) ; the community room and exercise room are great community amenities; the package room is great for keeping your packages safe (some apartment complexes I’ve been to just leave packages out in the open by the front office…) ; the dog park is quite the social hang-out; the pool is the greatest treasure during the spring/summer; the heated underground parking is much appreciated; the walking paths that are steps away are great for exercising or enjoying nice weather; and the complex itself is cozy, whereas other complexes have so many buildings you’d have to get in your car and drive a block just to use some amenities and would have a hard time getting to know the people who live there. Sierra Pointe has secured access entry, wide hallways, elevators, trash/recycling chutes on each floor, storage units available, a pet wash, and an in-unit washer/dryer. I wish my rent would be a little cheaper, but for the apartment, safety, and complex and area perks (and having wonderful neighbors!), I’ll make it work in my budget.

The service is always timely, staff is friendly, and the apartment is high quality, ran by people who care about the property and their tenants!

5 stars for the structure and architecture of the place itself. Positively well kept. My experience with the people in the community, both residents and the management team, far exceeds 5 stars.

I have lived her over a year and I absolutely loved it! The staff is so helpful and answers questions quickly!

We have lived here for over 5 years and just renewed our lease for another 18 months. We love.many things about Sierra Pointe, including the interior hallways, heated basement garage, large, one floor 2 bed/2 bath apartment with lots of storage plus in-apt laundry). All amenities (clubhouse with free coffee, fitness, trash chutes, mail, business center, and free internet in the apartments) are enclosed within one building — no need to go out in bad weather. Many opportunities to walk through the building and get together with neighbors. Outside pool is great in summer, and the sidewalk trail around the two ponds gives a beautiful one mile walk, with many benches to sit, so we can stop and enjoy.

I lived here from 2015 to 2018. I have moved to the north east now but I still have very fond memories of living in these apartments. Very high ceilings, clean, great club house, near trails and shopping complexes, direct access to the highway, good fitness center… I have no idea what some are complaining about, but I genuinely miss living here.

No idea where all these negative reviews are coming from. Sierra Point Apartments seems to be a relatively common name, and multiple locations show up on search. Maybe some of them are reviewing the wrong location? My wife and I lived here for a year in 2020-2021 and loved the place. The apartments are large, and the luxury features are really nice. Never had any problems with maintenance or staff. No security guards on site, and never even saw anyone get towed.

We moved out when we bought a home but will actually be selling our home to take advantage of the market and are about to move back in to a large 2 bedroom apartment on the ground floor. Very excited to be moving back to Sierra Pointe. I'm sad that the original staff we got used to seeing are gone (Jordan, Jen, Kristin, and Levi) but I'm hoping the new current staff (Shiana, Jamisyn, and Scott) are just as good. So far, interactions point to them being no less friendly and helpful than the last team.

I have recommended Sierra Pointe in the past and will continue to do so unless something grievous happens. It's honestly one of the nicest apartments in the Des Moines area, and the free gigabit internet is a huge bonus. I just wish they had larger common areas like 62W in Johnston.

I don't understand the negative reviews. I just left here after 2 years, and never had a problem. The place is quiet, and I only needed maintenance twice, both times it was handled quickly without issue. Internet is fast and reliable; it was only out for a few hours in 2 whole years. No problems with staff. It's a bit pricey but it's a nice building with nice amenities

Avoid this place! They will charge excessive fees in the thousands to end your lease! The customer service is terrible and will not work to fix these problems for you, save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.

I love living at Sierra Pointe apartments! The carefree life of swimming every day and visiting with my great neighbors makes life even better. Last weekend our apartment manager, Jamisyn, went above and beyond to accommodate my needs for the party room. Mike Maher, the worlds best maintenance man ever, Fixed my sink and my carousel and it feels like a new home! Kamryn is such a delightful addition, and I dread when she leaves to go back to school.

Do NOT live here! Very shady property management that cannot provide proper paperwork for tenants to be able to leave as they want to charge outrageous amounts of $3000 and lock people into Month to month leases. They make it impossible to find the correct forms. They are extremely disrespectful and REFUSE to reply to emails to help with the process but can leave notes on doors and read /reply to others reviews.

Love the location and how pet friendly it is here. Hallways can smell odd at times but to be expected with people cooking different things at different times. Can be loud at times with the pool being so close to my side of the building. Staff is super nice.

Very poor communication from staff. Tried to tour an apartment and no one would call me back after leaving dozens of voicemails and emails. Clearly, management, or lack thereof, are not concerned about potential renters. Can’t imagine how they treat actual tenants based on how unprofessional they are.

Horrible place to stay if i could I’d give these apartments -5 stars. Maintenance crew don’t come and fix anything unless you go to the office and demand them to fix it. Security always harassing people for no reason and always tow cars even if tags are up to date. When I first moved in the hot water nor the air was working for the first 3 months. I suggest no one comes and lives here because I wouldn’t want anyone to go through what i have to go through.

The staff at Sierra Pointe Apartments is always there for you if and when you need them. They are prompt with service requests and they strive to make your life here as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. With a clean atmosphere, free coffee, and amazing pool this complex is the best West Des Moines has to offer. The property manager Jamisyn has been an exceptional addition to this property, and us residents are lucky to have her. Tell all of your friends looking for an apartment that this is the place to be!
