Skinny's Barbeque, Muscatine IA

Made the drive from the QC for my birthday this past weekend and everything from the food to customer service was top notch! They even threw me a little dessert on the house for my bday! Burnt ends and ribs were excellent and the street corn was amazing! Can't wait to try everything lol! Awesome experience!

Coworker and I eat here every time we are working in Muscatine. Have tried quite a few menu items and not disappointed yet. Sides are really good. Meat has a great smokey flavor, can’t wait to try the new sauces. Sat near the smoker one winter afternoon and on the drive back to the QC was seriously thinking about trying a bite of my jacket!

Fantastic barbecue! The staff is very open to you, and they are fun to interact with. The atmosphere is great, it's industrial and inviting. You must go here!

Excellent bbq! Burnt ends and brisket were tender. Ribs are some of the best I've ever had. Excellent sides too.

Cord and his team are doing a fantastic job in downtown Muscatine! I love taking friends there for the first time because I know they'll be back!

I'm from the south south and I've never had any bbq like this.from Atlanta to Iowa. I will be coming back. You also have to try the armadillo egg.

Best BBQ in Muscatine. I’ve had pulled pork, pastrami, and brisket. All full of flavor not dry, and no need for bbq sauce, in my opinion.

My favorite meat is probably brisket. It is so tender, juicy and flavorful. Savory and salty. Melts in your mouth. I’d recommend getting anything with brisket. My favorite is probably the brisket mac & cheese.

I’ve never had a bad meal here and the staff are amazing. They’re always very friendly. And they’re very quick to get your food ready. In the mood for some barbecue visit Skinny’s!

Ribs were amazing, burnt ends were Great.mac n cheese and coleslaw were also good. Brisket was so salty we couldn’t eat it sadly. Also the elotes had no mayo and the tiniest sprinkle of spices so that was disappointing. Also how are you a bbq place and not making your own sauce. Overall good outweighed the bad. I liked the atmosphere as well. Muscatine is lucky to have a place like this

I had burnt ends and they were great! Super moist and smokey. Just like meat candy. Will be back for sure.

I got the two tacos, one brisket one pulled pork and Oh My God. This was one of the best meals I’ve ever had, amazing food, great great service, super friendly people. I’m literally writing this review halfway through my meal cause no one should miss out on this place. I’m in town for 3 days, I’m going back tomorrow

I had the ribs and the meat literally fell off the bone it was so tender. The food was very tasty, the portion size was generous, the atmosphere is great with views near the river and the staff was very friendly as well.

Best BBQ in Iowa. From the burnt ends to the burrito and street corn. I would highly recommend

Had the brisket grilled cheese and OMG amazing! The Buffalo cauliflower was extremely good too. Will definitely be back. Great job guys!

Ate here last Saturday. Our positive experience started with talking to the owner and his son outside, but continued with the guys behind the counter who were just as friendly and helpful. Now I've had BBQ from here to the East Coast and consider myself pretty good with a smoker, but this food was hands down the best I've had! The brisket was absolutely amazing.simple rub, perfect bark, and melted in my mouth! Well worth the 1hr 40 min drive, we'll be back!

The first thing that hits you when you walk into the building is the smoky smell, and you'll be lucky if you're not drooling by the time you get in line. The food here is next level. Everything, *everything* is good. The brisket is amazing, but I love the smoked turkey best. If you like crispy brussels sprouts, definitely include Skinny's Sprouts as a side. I recommend the buffalo cauliflower and the street corn, too. There's usually a little line, but the crew is friendly and this barbecue is easily worth a wait. I've never been on the patio, but I love that there are multiple options to find a place to sit.

I'm not normally into BBQ, but Skinnys may have changed my mind.

I love Skinny’s BBQ! Holy hell they have some great food. If you like BBQ and sides you should def check this place out.

This place was an amazing find! We were biking through town and had parked our bikes at the intersection below. We decided to head up the hill to find a place to eat to avoid the heat and crowds from the vendors that were in the park. We spotted this and figured it was worth a try. Probably the best food we had in all of Iowa on our trip. I got the chicken quesadilla with the cucumber salad as a side and my partner got the same except he got the potato salad and baked beans. Our friends both got burnt ends with coleslaw. The portions were great and the quesadillas were loaded. We probably would have been good with just one between the two of us.

Also the sides were great. I'm not a big potato salad person, but it had a nice texture and flavor. The cucu salad was the fresh and light bite I wanted with the meal. Also the coleslaw was great, not overly vinegary or with too much liquid like at a lot of places, it had the right amount of crunch with some added broccoli in there that made it stand out.

We sat on the patio, which was a little bit of a downer because we would have preferred inside, but their space was reserved for an event. When it got too hot for even outside they was some seating in the hallway that worked.

It's also in a really cool building with a gift show and huge Mark Twain sculpture so it's a fun plus to poke around.

The best bbq by far! Amazing service as well thank you so much for the great food and spirits Skinny’s! 100/10 recommend!
