Sleep Inn & Suites Mount Vernon reviews
16Property was relatively clean and appeared recently renovated in some fashion. Lobby is quite beautiful with gigantic ballroom style staircase, which me and my girlfriend joked about while walking up and down like we were being presented at the ball in 19th century England. We stayed at this location in particular specifically because of the pool and Jacuzzi, which Jacuzzi was totally out of order even though they told us it was not so it felt like kind of a bait and switch. Also, the entire pool area was extremely humid and had a strong odor. The room was pretty nice with updated furnishings, however, the carpet was VERY old with a V. Front desk and housekeeping staff was nice enough. I believe they live on the property as I believe they were all hanging out in residing in one of the rooms and were parking near it. If we ever came back to Mount Vernon, we definitely would not stay here unless the Jacuzzi was working. Honestly, we probably won’t be back to Mount Vernon. Lol.
Hotel seemed okay, until they randomly charged me for "damage" two days later. They've been unreachable and unresponsive to the messages left. I even requested to be contacted via Choice Hotels and still no explanation.
Was told on phone had hot tub, paid 232.00 hot tub out of order was the only reason stayed there in first place never ever again save your
Money not recommended
Everything was okay. Was hoping to use hot tub but it was closed. Kids got to swim at least.
Very nice place. Beyond a couple of bleach spots on a chair and the carpet, it was a very quiet place. Comfortable bed. Nice service. Good breakfast. Gave it a four star cause it is a Sleep Inn, not the Hyatt but it was still awesome. Loved it. Will stay again
This hotel is in a great location. Easily accessible from the interstate.
I was a bit confused when I first got in there because there was nobody at the front desk and a sign stating to call from the in-hoise phone by the couch. I looked around and the phone i had to use was not easily seen.
My brother, sister-in-law, niece and nephew came in before we did and unfortunately the room they were in had alot of black mold in the bathroom and my brother is allergic. Thankfully they were moved to another room.
The hotel is in dire need of updates. The carpet in the lobby has a spots where the carpet is bunched up, the decor is outdated and there is a smell of very strong air freshener throughout the building.
They tell you that they won't be doing housekeeping unless you request it and there are no do not disturb placards to hang on the door and we left for the day and when we came back the room had been cleaned and some of our stuff was moved.
The mirror in our room was put together with what looked like clay and you could tell it had been broken previously.
The closet was very dirty with food and dust on the floor. Stuff in the room is outdated and the TV was maybe a 22" TV.
If you charge more than $50/night you should really look into doing updates and maintaining your hotel.
Bed was comfy and front desk person was friendly.
This place looks tired. Old carpet, non-smart TV in the rooms, the corner guards kept falling off in the room, hot tub was out of order, no towels in the pool area.
Breakfast was OK
Beds were comfy
Staff was friendly
It's a fine place to stay, but it is a bit over priced for what it is.
Great place to stay.
Me and my crew are working in Stanwood just 15 minutes away from the hotel and wanted a good priced hotel were we can get some peace and quite rest after a hard days work we came here and talked with the GM which he and his partner took care of us 100% and this hotel was just what we where looking for including the breakfast in the morning also the pool and hot tub to relax, Ricky the manager was very attentive to our needs during our stay
We will definitely be coming back here.
A+ Hotel
Average hotel. Clean. Need to up the breakfast items. No toast or ketchup. No condiments. Only sausage and eggs. Waffles were average.
Staff was great there is a girl that worked go 11 p.m. On a I think it was Saturday night I think it was and she was so cute gorgeous just wish I knew her name I would ask her out
This hotel should not be open for business until all renovations are complete. Water damage on all carpet, and furniture. Fans all over the place, trip and fall hazards waiting to happen. Odor/smell through out. Kitchen is closed. Pool is closed. Fitness room is closed. Glass front entrance door is boarded up. Exposed wires hanging from ceiling. Management is poor.
I didnt stay here overnight, but my extended family had a get together here. We used the dining room which was spacious and had french doors which closed and allowed the space to feel very quite. The facility was clean and tidy and very quiet. All in all, a lovely place.
I was not pleased with my stay at all I waited awhile before anyone even helped me I got a suite and the jacuzzi bath didn’t drain after we used it once we were looking forward too swimming and sitting in the hot tub but I was not informed that they were out of service my shower was dirty and the curtain was torn up pretty bad I was all around just not happy with my stay for the price I paid.
Very wall kept inn, it was nice to be close to our build site and away the crowded areas in CR
Old, tired, clean (ish). Short staffed. Laughable 'breakfast'. Reasonably priced. Decent sized rooms. Not much choice in Mt Vernon or I don't think it would do so well.
