Snyder Bend Park reviews
12Nice little campground 1st come 1st serve, the lake is drained right now but next year is gonna be better.
It's a very nice campground. People are very nice. We were disappointed that there wasn't any water, & my husband said there was a ton of mosquitoes in the men's room.
So much better before it dried up, but still a nice park to take a ride thru on the motorcycle.
They were kind of confused about our camping while we're there they put us in the spot where someone was already there other than that it was okay
Lake done gone missing, but if you like a lot of dead carp with your piles of dead gar and catfish, this is an ideal camping spot. An intriguing fragrance permeates the area.
I was looking for a place to camp close to Sioux City. This fit the bill. We got here at 6pm saw the campground and decided that is was a perfect fit. This is a county park so you have to self register. You might not see a park officer for a couple days. The camping is RV or tent. For R Vs they have elec and water at every site. The park is well maintained and pretty. The lake is water fed from an electric plant. It was so low this year that the docks have not been installed. We liked it so much we left camper there for next weekend. There is another campground very close by with a good view of another lake also county park. We will move there after our two week stay. The parks have camp hosts they take care of campers very well. Both parks are great
Great oxbow lake of moriver, place to camp with family without all the excitement but more mother nature campground, has free Wi-Fi, restroom w/showers, if camping into tenting not your thing there 4-cabins you can rent out daily, weekly or monthly, just see park game warden for details
I grew up all day picnic and boating on this lake and.park.it was our weekend vacation for our farming family and extended family's.sad to see not deep enough for boats present day. Park is well groomed by woodbury conservation as always.
Enjoy coming here to kayak. Water is usually calm but varies alot in depth from year to year. Good variety of wildlife.
We stayed at Eagle Cabin for 2 nights. The cabin was clean and very comfortable. It was stocked with dishes, pans, utensils, dish soap, hand soap (kitchen & bathroom), dish drainer, dishwasher detergent, 1 roll of paper towels, toilet paper, a microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker and full size refrigerator. There is a picnic table on the deck and another by the grill patio side. Had trouble getting WI-Fi to work.
They even supplied cleaning supplies to help you leave cabin as you found it.
It was peaceful enough to hear geese splashing in river in the evening. The view of the stars was spectacular at night too.
We will definitely be back!
Bigalow Park is where we actually camped. Just as nice, closer to the road then Snyder's. Just glad we didn't need anything from the camp host, they were never there the 4 days we were (Saturday thru Tuesday).
We had a picinc there. Bathroom was clean. We had the little shelter, it was nice, the area was clean, could of gone fishing, boating. Over all had a great time
