Spring Lake Park reviews
18Lovely campground, enjoyed our stay on the waterfront site.did miss the skate rink and concessions stand as we camped after labor day week and they closed down.only negative things say is they charge you $25 to reserve a site as opposed to $20 if you enter the park.with an additional $4 service fee on line other than that this park is beautiful stay
Significant storm the night before we arrived. The Park Service was all over the damage, got the place cleaned up, and the park stayed open. Very impressed.
We went for my husband's work picnic. Park is always clean. Bathroom is always clean and stocked. Really enjoy the skating rink and the park. Wish I would have been able to camp this year. I enjoy camping there. Employees are always friendly.
Paddle Boats. A roller skating rink. A playground. Brings me back to my 80's childhood. If you are in town stop by.
2nd time camping here. Very nice campground. Fishing isn't the greatest from our spot lol but that's the lazy way to fish. Clean and quiet. Love the little snack shack and my kids love the skating rink!
It's OK, if you can even find a place to camp. Most sites are first come and people "reserve" them by putting up a tent or parking an RV and paying for a site they won't occupy until the weekend, and that blocks us weekday campers. Roads are poorly laid out and it's difficult to get to the only potable water faucet and wastewater dump in the campground. It serves the need but that's all.
Love the camp host, skating on Friday and Saturday night. Swimming area is nice to. The staff are wonderful. I take the family her to camp.
Beautiful setting, excellent fishing and a great place to camp in RV or tent. There is also a 9 hole disc golf course.
Very bad fishing alls that in there is catfish change this I want a good lake closer to me instead of going three hours to okaboji
It would be a higher rating if more campsites were reservable. We drove over 2 hours on a Thursday night and the place we basically full. Spots are tight and campers reserve walk up sites for others by placing tiny (child sized) tents in the site. From what I read online a camping unit must be present in the site when tagging but it makes it difficult for others to find a spot when walk up site are tagged but no unit is on the pad. And the post to see if the site is taken is all the way to the back of the site, makes it easier to back in but harder to tell as you drive by if it is taken. They definitely need to have more sites reservable online and that is the only way we will come to this campground again is if we are able to reserve ahead. Beautiful place with lots to do but busy and difficult to locate a spot.
My family used to go there when I was a kid we had a great time and this time they had cabins which were awesome but you had have them reserved two years in advance they're backed up that much because they are awesome place to go it's a small Lake but the kids swimming decent fishing
No wildlife. They logged all the forest to make more campgrounds for money. My father and I were deeply disturbed and saddened by the removal of the wildness of the land.
Very beautiful and nice spot for fishing and taking the family out for the day on even some kayaks.
Nice county park with lake. Plenty of outdoor activities, including fishing, hiking, camping, and picnicking. Park is well maintained.
Nice place but.bring plenty if water & don't you dare as the camp host to get a jug of water from HER water hydrant (last year her husband allowed us) as she told me I'd have to go 'down there' to get water as she slammed her camper door. Only 4 hydrants in the entire park. Good luck finding them & get a new camp host.
Spring lake is a small County park. Great for camping, fishing, disc golf and a place to swim. Has 2 cabins that can be rented, a concession stand. That rents canoes, paddle boats, and kayaks. They have 2 buildings to have.meetings, reunions or picnic.
Beautiful lake and friendly people.first time there we did have some bites.and caught.a. Catfish.we will.mosr defineatly be back
