I always have a wonderful experience at Story City Dental. The staff is friendly, the facility is warm and inviting, and the support dog is the cherry on top! I highly recommend SCD to anyone looking for a dentist.

I was experiencing a dental emergency. I called at 8: 30am and was seen at 3pm the same day. Very prompt, caring staff, that got started right away and got the job done! Highly recommend Dr. Chen and staff!

P. S. There is also a companion dog Bear who is the sweetest pup ever!

This Dental office is great. Honest, efficient and utilize the latest in technology. They make sure you understand your dental health and the options that they have for you. The doctors and staff are helpful and welcoming.

I hadn’t been to the dentist in a while. Dr Chen was in network so I went in June cause I had concerns about my teeth. They took all the normal & fancy X-rays. Dr Chen came in & said that my X-rays looked great & that I only needed 3 cavities filled. Nobody measured my gums (to find out if gum disease is present), & I don’t believe my X-rays were carefully looked at. Before I could have my 3rd cavity filled, they were no longer in network. So I went to a new dentist & requested several times that they send my X-rays to the new dentist, before my appointment, which they never did. I scheduled a cleaning this week with my new dentist, & was told that I have periodontal disease & would need scaling & planing done on my teeth, which is a major procedure. This was discovered after more X-rays were taken & my gums measured. Dr Chen’s office finally sent my X-rays after the office staff called while I was at my appointment. If Dr Chen had taken the time to really look at my X-rays & do a comprehensive exam, I would have been aware of my gum disease sooner. My insurance company was also charged for a dental cleaning, which I never received

Story city dental’s doctors and offices look professional and treat me and my son with care. The financial staff also shows a lot of willingness to help our family processed a billing matter that has been taken care of quickly and respectfully. Their clinic is responsible and trustworthy. I would just say communication is key to build relationships. Hope all of us could continue to grow together in this direction.

I was so impressed with the friendly staff. Dr. Chen and Jo gladly walked my daughter through every step before starting. The atmosphere was super relaxed and their therapy dog, Bear, sat with my daughter during her whole procedure! Everyone was patient and willing to help; so thankful I chose Story City Dental!

Wife and I in for our cleanings today. My hygienist Taylor is the cat's meow! I'm retired and take advantage of their in office "insurance" plan. Good deal. I drive an hour to come to Story City for my dental work. They have a good Mexican restaurant right down the street!

The entire office is very friendly, and has a genuine interest in helping you keep your smile healthy.

Friendly, professional people. Good at their jobs. I really like how they explain everything they are going to do before they do it.

Unfortunately going to be finding a new dentist moving forward. I was talked into purchasing a night guard by the dentist. They generated a quote showing that the guard was going to be covered by my insurance and that my out of pocket cost was going to be reasonable. Fast forward to when I received my bill, insurance did not cover the night guard making me responsible for 100% of the cost, which was roughly 3X the cost that they quoted. This whole experience makes me feel like I was the victim of fraud. I recommend using a different dentist

This is a great dental office conveniently located right off of interstate 35. Story City Dental’s office is a beautiful, aesthetically pleasing building. They use state of the art equipment. Dr. B and his staff are professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I was so impressed with the addition of a sweet, cute dog named “Bear” to this dental office. He’s available to help patients who are feeling anxious or nervous. You wouldn’t even know Bear was there because he’s so calm and doesn’t make a sound. I would definitely recommend this dental office!

From the minute I walked in the door I was relaxed. I usually have high anxiety going to the dentist. I walked out thinking why did I put this off for so long. Thank you for making this a great experience

The staff was great and understood my anxiety. After chatting with the assistant I immediately relaxed and had a positive dental experience!

I had not been to a dentist in several years due to fear issues because of previous experiences where I ended getting teeth removed that shouldn't have been. When I came to Story City Dental they were very kind about it and very understanding. Although the tenseness of my experience was still there they were very reassuring and did what they could to keep me as comfortable as possible. Highly recommend this place especially if you have issues with Dental fears.

Take the time to explain what is going on. Have a confort pup Bear that is so sweet, staff are truly amazing!
