Barbecue Restaurant Stu's reviews
17Hollywood gave me good service. I ordered 1/2 rack of ribs, ranch pasta salad smoked beans and onion rings. Everything was very good. I will go back to this restaurant. There's about 5 more dishes I would like to try.
Amazing ribs and pulled pork. Fresh squeezed lemonade is just like they have at the State Fair. Beans and coleslaw are delicious as well. Highly recommend!
Was not provided a receipt. Was told their printer was not working after they accepted my payment. Not happy with them whatsoever.
Very friendly staff. The chef who cooked my flame grilled hamburger asked how the burger was.
The burger was fresh and hotter than getting one from McDonald's or BK.
If you want a higher quality food. This is the place to go for a quick but enjoyable lunch.
Amazing food for a food court place. Should be a freestanding business with how delicious the burgers are!
Best baked beans I’ve ever had.period.
I had the turkey and as others have stated it wasn’t edible. I was forced to throw it away in trash. I don’t know 100% but I’m thinking that the “honey butter” might of been what ruined it- gave off a pungent rancid stench that I couldn’t force myself to eat. The steak fries were partially cooked and over salted, really wanted to like this place, but it wasn’t possible.
Hopefully stu will make the changes needed to be a success.
The food and service were above our expectations. I really loved the vibes of this spot. Nice restaurant to take the family out for dinner.
I adore this place very much.theres a nice atmosphere. The meals are wonderful.the service is dynamic and the personel is polite. The cost is decent.extremely recommend.
Me and my family just went there for a quick lunch, the food was good and their staff were very friendly. Definitely recommend it!
Tenderloin Tuesday was great!
The two guys running the place were very nice.
Fresh crisp lettuce (does get soft if you leave it in the Styrofoam container too long with the hot sandwich), tomatoes that had a nice homegrown flavor, and crisp red onions were a nice touch. The tenderloins are very large and could easily feed 2 people when cut in half. The only thing I personally would change is using the same amount of tenderloin but not pound it so thin. Don't get me wrong, it has plenty of meat on the sandwich, it's just a personal preference for me to be slightly thicker. Tasted like it was marinated with buttermilk and spices (great thing). Comes with healthy side of seasoned steak fry wedges. $10 for enough food for two is a great deal considering the quality of food you get. Added touch was plenty of condiments and thick napkins. I did not try any BBQ, but will definitely be going back.
Ordered Stu's for the first time tonight. I wanted to try something new. I am beyond happy I chose Stu's! The ribs were so good there was no need for sauce! So tender.mmmmm. We got our order in no time. I will be hitting them up again.and again.
$26 for 4 ribs, a side of beans the size of what condiments come in and some stale cornbread. What a joke. The BBQ itself is the equivalent of Applebees. The beans were good but that's about it. Pass on this place, 2 thumbs down.
This spot constantly delivers. They serve good dishes for convenient prices, there are no long waits even when the spot is loaded.
I hit the Merle Hay Mall food court and was undecided what I was going to eat. After sitting down for a few minutes and watching what other people were getting I decided I wanted bbq. So I ordered the beef brisket sandwich with steak fries. I got cheese on my fries. The sandwich was great. Better than I was expecting since it is in a mall food court. The fries weren't bad either. I'm glad I went with Stu's BBQ!
The place is amazing and broad, the food was enchanting and the rates were very economical.quick, effective service and very affable staff. I recommend this place.
The World’s Best BBQ in Des Moines’s worst mall. Really, it’s the only reason we go to Merle Hay Mall. Can you even call it a mall? You can’t go wrong with what ever you order, it all delicious, the portions are big and the prices are reasonable. Don’t holla, lots of food for your dolla! That’s BBQ rap. And it is a thing.
