Swinging Bridge Park reviews
15Super fun. Make sure to hold any little hands, as it gets harder and harder to balance the closer in you get. The history behind the bridge is very interesting as well - overall, loved it!
It’s funny if you take the trail first and then you go and there’s a register that asks how you are enjoying the swinging bridge and you get confused like “was that bridge right there it? ” And then maybe you look up and see the actual bridge and laugh. At least for me and anyone that’s went with me!
The bridge and the walk did not disappoint. They were both a thrill! Moderate hike, with a story book throughout the trail, that is a fun bonus. Perfect spot to catch the beauty of fall!
This is a cool attraction. If your passing through this area and have a little time stop and check it out
Such a great little hike and the bridge was so worth the trip! I also loved the history about it too, that was really neat to read. Highly recommend and not far from i80!
The kids loved it and my sister who is afraid of heights went across and had a blast taking photos
It's a true swinging bridge and has a beautiful garden on the other side of the bridge. Worth the drive!
Hella fun! I was rocking it back and forth and it gets super wobbly and bouncy. The family before me didn't cross it because the mom got scared lol
We visited this on impulse as we were driving through town. It’s a really cute local landmark. The area is fairly small but well maintained and there are many locks connected to the bridge in memory of loved ones whom are gone.
Took my wife she loved the bridge but got scared when it started to move more and more but that made it a fun thing to do
Nice swing bridge. Didn't take the path as there were lots of mosquitoes and the path has lots of greenery on there so we weren't dressed for it. Take bug spray and wear long socks or pants just in case of posion ivy
Visited for 3rd or 4th time with 4 friends. Noticed the community of Columbus Junction has made improvements with a children's story about a dog named Noodles and more picnic tables. The bridge is safe, but when more than one or two walk across at the same time, the swaying is a little scary. Visit does not take long (less than thirty minutes) if you do not stop and sit at picnic tables. If you want to walk, Possum Hollow Trail avoid muddy conditions since it basically is up and down embankments. The trail itself is easy, but after rain could be slick.
Ive been wanting to go to this bridge for a long time I finally went with a lady I new for a very long time and placed a lock as well
Cool view. I was surprised by how long and high the bridge was. It moves a lot when you walk on it. Very rickety and seemingly sketchy but I'm not an engineer.
The bridge is pretty cool. Worth the stop if nearby. Not sure about going hours out of the way. There is a short trail around it, but nothing special. And the town doesn't have much of anything.
