Taco John's, Waterloo IA

Qell, I can't sit in the restaurant coz I'm too big for the booths. But the Ole's are awesome.

Placed an order online delivered they screwed up on the order when called they started yelling at me and saying that I screwed up and it was my fault and they refused to do anything to make it right women on the phone had a snarky and condescending attitude

The manager whom ill call Bonnie is not very nice at all. Nor is her sister who also works there. If they get your order wrong they give you a attitude & doesnt seem to care about customer service very much. The other staff is ok i guess depending on who ya get & what time ya go. Facts are facts. Taco johns has good food. Ok customer service. They'd be a million times better with some minor adjustments.

It's still one of my favorites. I think got a meat and potato burrito with potato oles and an ice tea. Taco John's never disappoints me. Yummy and reasonably priced.

Got to love those potatoe bite size oleys plus much more they offer many different taco meals afordable and tasty munch on lunches.

This place is delicious and well maintained—they were updating the sign when I visited which felt like a special thing to witness. Absolutely stunning experience. Love the automatic napkin dispensers and yes they have single bathrooms to compliment their reasonably-priced Mexican-American offerings. A Waterloo must-visit!

Food is generally always good but the service is very spotty. I have been treated so rudely there by supervisors and especially the general manager and nothing is ever done. They are just allowed to act this way to people. You report it to corporate and nothing happens. It is ridiculous that they are allowed to act that way towards a paying customer. I ordered food today and AGAIN it was wrong and while talking to the GM, all she wanted to do was argue and insist she was right and tried to make me feel as though we did something wrong.same as last time. We are all human and make mistakes, just own up to it and make it right and all is good with the world. There is no excuse to make the customer feel like it is their fault when YOU messed up. I bet she expects things to be right when she goes to a restaurant or any retail location for that matter and if not she's probably rude then, too. I know it's my own fault for going back there after being treated this way before but I do like the tacos so it's hard not to.until today. I would have given zero or even negative stars if I could have. Get some customer service skills. This day and age there is no excuse for being so da*n rude to a paying customer.

Faster than your typical Taco John's and the food was perfect. The taco meat was hot and the lettuce was still cold when I ate. Not like some other taco place where everything in your taco is the same temperature. Employees were genuinely nice. He even brought my food out to me when all he had to do was say my name and I would have come get it.

I use to work here and for a long time. I was very upset when I drove home after talking to one of my old coworkers there and didn't think to look all the way through the bag. I had 3 nacho cheeses missing! And the two orders if donut bites looked like gross! I have never seen them look that way or taste that way! They have to of been sitting for a very long time in the warmer! Still loved going here! Never been so disappointed!

Great service. When I was in there they had a line in the drive-thru but they kept moving. Kept doing a great job

Taco John's has over the years has gone down hill, it's the company, not the managers. They are not good at putting enough cheese meat ect. I don't like paying for extra for things that are not added or very little for price. The food is not as hot as once was.

Hard to go wrong with Taco John's! This location in particular was my go to for several years as it was right down the road from me. Never had a bad experience. Gotta get that six pack and a pound mane! Them tater oles are something else!

The potato olés were super super greasy and the sour cream was watery but the burritos were not super bad, And the staff was decent considering what I have had before

Taco John's is pretty good. I enjoy the Oles with nacho cheese to dip in. Service is always quick. Food is usually freshly made. Biggest strike against Taco John's is their horrible soda. So I always just get the food and drink water, which is probably a good thing anyway.

Food was delicious. A little too much lettuce for me, but other than that it was great. Husband and I got a family 6 pack & a pound, all soft shell with two large drinks and two meat & potato burritos. Staff was friendly, courteous, and fast. Food was hot and fresh and was made in a timely manner.
