We drove up from Cedar Rapids to check this store out. We were impressed with the variety of games, comics, and collectibles! Mike, the owner, was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth the drive for us. We will be back!

The high water mark of Cedar Falls, IA. If your local comic shop doesn’t have what your looking for take a trip to this store and get everything you wanted and more. I come through quarterly and am always helped with a knowledgeable staff, I can over hear great conversations and find most any comic that’s been out of recent stock. What more of an experience could you ask for.

Great place for nerds, tons and tons of comic books, little vinyl figures in all the characters, stuff for magic the gathering and d&d, intense board games like Catan, and present-y like items for all the major fandoms. People were super friendly and knowledgeable. No lie, the sh*ts pricy, but sometimes it be like that.

Great for games, grabbed a couple Carcasonne expansions and our son got a D&D book.

A family business, friendly, shares a love of all things pop culture, and quite frankly, my favorite store to visit. Been coming for decades.

I went to this shop as a kid for years when I grew up here. Always had amazing selection and staff. Went back into the shop to support local business on my first visit back in over 15 years. Customer service was still spot on and the selection was phenomenal. They have everything you’d want to find in a game store. Not only that, but the prices were actually cheaper than online on items I was looking at, which is unheard of. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area or stopping through!

Kind of cramped and very expensive. I know they have to make a profit but the mark-ups are pretty insane. Good variety though.

This is the kind of store you can't help but spend time in. Lots of good stuff to look through and a very pleasant environment to browse in. Music was playing but not overly loud. Staff was helpful but not pushy. The kind of energy that creates moments of conversation between customers who have never met before. If I lived around here I would be proud to call this my FLCS.

Greatest place in the Cedar valley to find everything from vintage comic books all the way to today's latest. Magic cards Pokemon cards etc. +More. The staff was great, knowledgeable, vocal, and welcoming. Took my son to the Comic-Con that was hosted fantastic experience. We'll definitely be coming back as regular customers. And look forward to the next event.

Just moved to the Cedar Falls area and was looking for a new comic shop. The Core is a great little shop with friendly service and a lot of comics, collectibles and games to offer.

Not from Iowa but stopped on in to have a look. An amazing selection from table top accessories, dice, graphic novels for all ages, cards from several different games and so much more.
Everyone there was super helpful and knowledgeable.
Would definitely recommend!

Was there 20 yrs ago. Not so much. Manga anymore but books to be found. No GITS but alot of Sailor Moon stuff. Big figurines and a $44 sailor moon Monopoly:)

A lot of store packed into a tiny space. Comic books, board games, collectible figures, and lots of TCG and TTRPG supplies. Friendly, helpful staff.

From Dallas, Visiting the area, decided to stop in because I didn't go to my local shop last week. This is a great store, easily the most organized comic book store I've ever been in. Loved it. Wonderful selection. If I wasn't traveling, would have considered the Godzilla statue.
