The Englert Theatre reviews
13I did see LeAnn rhymes a few years ago however I was working on the roof next door on this day
On an graduation event we experienced a fight because of uninvited guests but outside of that nice place.
I arrived late (from Illinois), to a Rainn Wilson lecture and signing. The ladies working there, were very accommodating and helpful. Thank you.
The absolute best medium size venue for the arts in the MidWest and a historic landmark to boot
We've been here for several shows and ALWAYS enjoy ourselves. Everyone that works/volunteers here are so nice and helpful. One of our favorite places!
What a great classic theater. Parking is a pain but that is par for the course being downtown. Park a ways away and enjoy the walk.
First time here to see a show. Great venue and the sound system was great as well would diffently return here for a show.
Nice space for events. Great staff and wonderful programming. A gem in the heart of iowa city.
Awesome setting for live shows, the House manager went out of her way to get me a signature from my favorite musician, they go above and beyond to make sure the show is great. Awesome place
My family moved here in 1997 and since then I’ve seen the evolution of the Englert theater. I actually got to see Titanic play here when it was released, now it’s a place for life theater, which is pretty cool indeed. I think Iowa City has long been known for its arts and music; and this theater is the venue for the outlet of much of that.
A beautiful historic theatre committed to cultivating and supporting the arts. Just McDonalds. Im loving it!
Always enjoy this classy joint. Beautiful, historically restored theater. Usually we'll staffed and run well. I wish they could open more lines for drinks though. It can take 30 minutes to get a drink when the lines are long.
Fun, nostalgic, not too large so never a bad seat, balcony is great. Love seeing comedians here and we live an hour away
