Everyone was so nice and helped my child feel comfortable while she was sick. Great place!

My husband and I have been going to Iowa Clinic for one year. We have been seeing Dr. Pelzer. I have NOTHING but good things to say about him. He has a true passion for the kiddos he sees and I greatly appreciated that, being a new mom especially. In saying that however, if you need to be seen for any issue other than your scheduled check ups and vaccinations you will most likely be out of luck. I don't know how everyone else feels but I would love for my son to be able to see his doctor 50% of the time for other illnesses or incidents through the year. We are never able to do this, which is very disheartening. I called and made my one year old exam for my son a month and a half ago, I called today as I hadn't received my reminder and our appointment was for the next day. They did not have us down for the appointment. I had put it on my calendar after booking it with the front desk. Not only were they unapologetic, they didn't make any effort to rectify the situation. This was on July 28th, the first available time I could get in with Dr. Pelzer was August 17th, and any other provider was August 10th. I know things are different given Covid guidelines and all, but I would like to know how they do cut offs for the number of new patients they allow to visit their practice. I personally feel they have over extended their system if their first opening is 2 weeks out. Just for me that is unacceptable, as I would find most people to feel that way. I just want anyone new to be able to know what to expect if you go with this practice.

Great doctors who take ALL the time they need to help you get stuff figured out. I've never felt rushed if I have questions. They are a busy clinic because the doctors are great. If you need something same day, you might have to go to Urgent Care, but I've always been able to get in to one of the doctors within 2 days. I love that I can schedule appointments online. We regularly see Dr. Pelzer (who is simply wonderful with my children), but we've also seen Dr. Secory (who is also a wonderful doctor).
